I, imam a of Tw, �i pAC>i ►�SR'`GatensiII AIM IMAGING SOUSA ANIMAL OF MATT BILL 1732 iitaREAS, the DuPage Water Commission represents twenty-two (22) municipalities in DuPage County, 702 of the pepelatien, and 882 of those eligible to receive Lake Michigan water; and WHEREAS, the 'system proposed by the DuPage Water Commission has the capacity to provide all ester requirements for all of DuPage County in the year 2020; and ARAMS, the DuPage lister Commission has executed a forty (40) year contract for supply of Lake Michigan water from Chicago at the lowest rate available to may customer; sad Wi38REAS, the Dine Nater Coamissioa has executed a Water Development Cost Agreessmt providing for 116,000,000.00 of interim financing to complete engineering design sad right-of-lay acquisition; and ' A$, competitive bids received at this interim financing on June 13, 1944 produced a net interest coat of 7.172; and ARSA AS, $mate Bill 1732 in the 83rd General Assembly provides for more flexible methods of funding the permanent financing of a Lake Michigaa water { supply; and WMANIAS, it is the consommes of the corporate authorities of the Village of Oak Brook that significant progress has been made by the DuPage Water Commis- 'Joe during the past three (3) years; and WALRUS, the Nowise Minority Leadership has failed to respond to the con- cerns of the Drpees Meter Commission to approve Senate Bill 1732. NOW, TAAREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE PRZSIONAT AND BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE VILLAGE OF OAK BACON, DO MGR AND COOK COUNTIES, ILLINOIS as follows: Section 1: That the provisions of the preamble hereinabove set forth are hereby adopted as though fully set forth herein. Section 2: That the corporate authorities of the Village of Oak Brook endorse the efforts of the DuPage Water Commission to bring take Michigan water to DuPage County. Section 3: That the corporate authorities of the Village of Oak Brook urge House Minority Leaden Lee D oriels and other Bepresemtatives from DuPage County to work for the passage of Senate Bill, 1732. Section 4: That this Resolution shell be in full force and effect from and after its passage and approval as provided by law. PASSED and APPED this 22nd day of June , 1984 by the President and Board of Trustees of the Village of Oak Brook, DuPage and Cook Counties, Illinois pursuant to a roll call vote as follows: Ayes: Trusting Boris.
