A RESOLUTION APPROVING AND AUTHORIZING THE VILLAGE'S 2015 MEMBERSHIP PAYMENTS
TO THE MULTITYPE AUTOMATION GROUP IN COOPERATION (MAGIC)
WHEREAS, the Multitype Automation Group In Cooperation (MAGIC) is a consortium of
municipalities and library districts that provides cost-effective and efficient sharing of library materials
among its member libraries through an integrated library automation system; and
WHEREAS, in 2010, the Village joined MAGIC by entering into an Intergovernmental Agreement
for Library Computer Services ("IGA")with MAGIC; and
WHEREAS, the IGA requires the Village to make annual membership payments to MAGIC; and
WHEREAS, the Village's 2015 membership payment to MAGIC is $22,755 ("2015 Membership
Payment"); and
WHEREAS, the Village Board has determined that it is reasonable, necessary and desirable, and
in the best interest of the Village, to approve and authorize the 2015 Membership Payment;
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF
THE VILLAGE OF OAK BROOK, DU PAGE AND COOK COUNTIES, ILLINOIS as follows:
Section 1: Recitals. The foregoing recitals are hereby incorporated into, and made a part
of, this Resolution as the findings of the President and Board of Trustees of the Village of Oak Brook.
Section 2: Approval of the 2015 Membership Payment. The Village Manager and Village
Clerk are hereby authorized and directed to execute such documents and make such payments as are
necessary to make the Village's 2015 Membership Payment to MAGIC for a not-to-exceed cost of
$22,755.00.
Section 3: Effective Date. This resolution shall be in full force and effect immediately upon its
passage and approval in the manner provided by law.
