ORDINANCE NO. S-165

AN ORDINANCE GRANTING A VARIATION j
TO THE RULES AND REGULATIONS OF I
THE OAKBROOK ZONING ORDINANCE
WHEREAS, the owner of property more particularly described !
hereinafter, through its authorized agent has petitioned the
corporate authorities of the Village of Oakbrook for a variation
to the rules and regulations of the Zoning Ordinance of the
Village of Oakbrook with respect to the erection of additional
signs in an ORA-1, Office-Research-Assembly District; and,
WHEREAS, a public hearing pursuant to said request has been j
held by the Zoning Board of Appeals of the Village of Oakbrook;

and, f
WHEREAS, the said Zoning Board of Appeals has recommended
that the variation be granted; and,
WHEREAS, the President and Board of Trustees of the Village
of Oakbrook concur with said recommendation and are of the opinion
that a variation should be granted;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED, by the President and Board
of Trustees of the Village of Oakbrook, Du Page County, Illinois:
{ Section 3. That the applicable rules and regulations of "Thee
Zoning Ordinance of the Village of Oakbrook, Illinois, of 1966",
as amended contained in Subparagraph B6 of Section X pertaining to
signs are hereby varied to permit the erection and maintenance of
two additional signs on property hereinafter described. A Trans-
portation Services sign is permitted on the east side of the
building facing Clearwater Drive as is shown on Exhibit A hereto '
attached and by this reference made a part hereof. A monument
type sign is also permitted on said property and is shown on I
Exhibit B attached hereto and by this reference made a part hereo ,
all on the following described property,, to-wit'.
That part of Lots 1, 2 and 3 of Hoehne's Assessment Plat,
situated in the Southwest Quarter of Section 24, Township
39 North, Range 11, East of the Third Principal Meridian, i
and that part of the Northern Illinois Toll Highway 1
Acquisition Parcel T-6A-132, all in Du Page County,
Illinois, being more fully described as follows, to-wit:
Commencing at the Southeast corner of the Southwest i
Quarter of said Section 241 thence North 00 15'24" West
along the East line of the Southwest Quarter of said !
Section 24, a distance of 881.71 feet for a place of I !
beginning; thence continuing North Oo 15124" West along
the East line of the Southwest Quarter of said Section 24,
also being the Easterly line of the Northern Illinois Toll
Highway permanent easement Nos. T-6A-1296, T-6A-1296.1,
T-6A-1297, T-6A-132.2, a distance of 1080.71 feet to a
point, said point being the southeasterly corner of Parcel !

line of Parcel T-6A-132, a distance of 91.67 feet to a
point, said point being the Northwest cgrner of permanent
easement No. T-6A-132.2; thence North 0 15124" West
along a line which is the Westerly line of permanent
easement Parcel T-6A-132.2 (extended Northerly) a distance
of 20.39 feet; thence North 81° 41'54" West a distance
of 249.91 feet; thence North 880 03149" West, a distance
of 186.12 feet; thence South 820 37'36" West, a distance
of 168.50 feet; thence South 720 35136" West, a distance
of 115.94 feet; thence South 04 35149" East, a distance
of 841.53 feet; thence South 42° 49119" East, a distance
of 365.86 feet; thence North 89° 37'56" East along a line
which is parallel to and 84.0 feet Northerly of the south
line of Lots 2 and 3 of Hoehne's Assessment Plat (as measured i
parallel with the Easterly line of said Lots 2 and 3) a
distance of 490.0 feet to the place of beginning, with
that part of the previously described property being
subject to the grant of permanent easement for highway
and utility purposes, as granted under Northern Illinois
Toll Highway permanent easement No. T-6A-1296.1, T-6A-1296.2,
T-6A-1296, T-6A-1297 and T_6A-132.2,
the general location of the property being, 2000 York Road, Oakbrook,
Illinois.
Section 3. This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect
l from and after its passage and approval as by Statute in such
cases made and provided.
