GENERAL DISCUSSION: Acting Village Manager Crotty announced that the Village of Oak Brook is scheduled for the IRMA Management Assessment Program (IMAP) evaluation on December 4 and 5. An IRMA representative will spend 1 to 1 1/2 days assessing safety procedures in the fire, police and public works departments. He noted that IMAP is the replacement of the Loss Evaluation Assistance Program (LEAP). Several communities have already participated in IMAP and those that received high scores with the LEAP are scoring in the middle with the IMAP assessment. He briefly discussed the IMAP worksheet noting that the assessment will cover not only areas of documentation but also implementation of safety procedures. The IRMA representative will visit the department verifying documentation of safety procedures as well as observing field operations. He indicated that he would forward the latest information from IRMA to Committee members indicating the schedule for the December evaluation and the worksheet that will be used for evaluating the departments. He also indicated that Committee members are welcomed to participate during the evaluation. It was questioned as to how often IRMA does a safety assessment evaluation. Acting Village Manager Crotty responded that an evaluation is done every three years unless the community is put on the IRMA"watch list",then they are assessed annually. VIII.
