ORDINANCE NO. S-160
AN ORDINANCE GRANTING A VARIATION
TO THE RULES AND REGULATIONS OF
THE OAKBROOK ZONING ORDINANCE
Whereas, the owner of the property more particularly herein-
after described has petitioned the corporate authorities of the
Village of Oakbrook for a variation to the rules and regulations
of "The Zoning Ordinance of The Village of Oakbrook, Illinois, of
1966" , as amended, with respect to side yard requirement in an
"R-1" Single-family Detached Residence District; and,
Whereas, a public hearing, pursuant to said request, has been
held by the Zoning Board of Appeals of the Village of Oakbrook;
and,
Whereas, the said Zoning Board of Appeals has recommended
that the variation be granted; and,
Whereas, the President and Board of Trustees of the Village of
Oakbrook concur with said recommendation and are of the opinion
that a variation should be granted;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the President and Board of
Trustees of the Village of Oakbrook:
Section 1. That the applicable rules and regulations of THE
ZONING ORDINANCE OF THE VILLAGE OF OAKBROOK, ILLINOIS, OF 1966 , as
amended, contained in Section VII , C 1 , G (4) , requiring that no
structure used for shelter shall be nearer than 90 feet from the
side lot line, is hereby varied reducing said side yard requirement
to a distance of 63 feet as measured from the west line of the fol-
lowing described lot, to-wit:
"The South half (except the East 1 , 750 feet) of the East
60 acres of the North half of the North East quarter of
Section 36 , Township 39 North, Range 11, East of the Third
Principal Meridian, in DuPage County, Illinois, "
Also known as,
"Lot 9 in York Township Supervisor 's Assessment Plat No. 11 ,
being the East 60 acres of the North half of the North East
quarter of Section 36, Township 39 North, Range 11, East of
the Third Principal Meridian, according to the plat thereof
recorded February 8, 1946 , as Document 491577 in DuPage
County, Illinois ; "
the general location of the property being 318 Canterbury Lane,
in the Village of Oakbrook.
__ Section 2 . Pursuant to the authority of Section XIII , G 4 (c) ,
the granting of the variation herein is conditioned and restricted

upon the recommendation of the Zoning Board of Appeals by limiting
the stable to be constructed to dimensions of 30 feet by 15 feet
in the location shown on the applicant 's Plat of Survey, identified as
"Exhibit A" .
Section 3 . That this Ordinance shall be in full force and effect
from and after its passage and approval as by statute in such cases
made and provided.
PASSED and APPROVED by the President and the Board of Trustees
of the Village of Oakbrook, Illinois , this day of
1968 .
