AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. S-142, BEING S-' 15a.
"AN ORDINANCE GRANTING A SPECIAL USE PERMIT � (pS
PURSUANT TO ORDINANCE G-60, BEING THE OAKBROOK
ZONING ORDINANCE, PASSED AND APPROVED BY THE
PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF TRUSTEES ON THE 22ND DAY
OF MARCH, 1966, AS AMENDED" , WHICH SAID ORDINANCE
GRANTING SUCH PERMIT WAS ADOPTED BY THE PRESIDENT
AND BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE VILLAGE OF OAKBROOK
ON AUGUST 22, 1967
Whereas, the President and Board of Trustees of the Village
of Oakbrook did, on the 22nd day of August, 1967, adopt Ordinance
No. S-142 granting a Special Use Permit for the construction and
operation of a multi-story hotel to be known as the "Sheraton-
Oak Brook" ; and
Whereas, said ordinance was amended on February 27, 1968,
by the adoption of Ordinance No. S-152 because it was the Board's
opinion that certain conditions and restrictions should be contain-
ed therein which were in accordance with the permitted plans for
such development; and
Whereas, the owner of the premises involved has amended the
plans for the construction of said building and requests that
certain changes in the provisions of such Special Use Permit be
granted in order to move the building contemplated thereunder ap-
proximately 195 feet west of the site heretofore proposed; and
Whereas , the President and Board of Trustees have requested the
recommendation of the Zoning Board of Appeals of the Village of
Oakbrook with respect to such proposed changes; and
Whereas, the Zoning Board of Appeals has recommended that the
Board change the restrictions contained in said Ordinance as pro-
posed by the owner;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the President and Board of
Trustees of the Village of Oakbrook:
Section 1 . That Section 4 of said Ordinance No. S-142,
passed and approved by the President and Board of Trustees of the
Village of Oakbrook on the 22nd day of August, 1967, which con-
tains the legal description of the premises in question, be and
the same is hereby amended, and as amended shall read as follows :
"Section 4. Said Special Use Permit shall be
limited solely and exclusively to the following
described real estate, to-wit:
"That part of Lot 6 in Oak Brook Investment Company

"Assessment Plat No. 4, of part of the Northwest
Quarter of Section 26 , Township 39 North, Range 11,
East of the Third Principal Meridian, according to
plat thereof recorded July 8, 1964, as Document No.
R64-24072, in DuPage County, Illinois, described as
follows : Commencing at the Northeast corner of said
Northwest Quarter of Section 26 ; thence Southerly along
the half section line a distance of 7.78 feet to the
South right-of-way line of 22nd Street (before widening) ;
thence South 890-37 '-38" West along said South right-
of-way line of 22nd Street (before widening) , a distance
77.17 feet; thence South 00-35 '-48" East a distance of
25. 0 feet to a point on the South right-of-way line of
22nd Street (as widened by Document No. R61-34112) ;
thence South 890-37 '-38" West along said South right-
of-way line of 22nd Street (as widened by Document No.
R61-34112) a distance of 559.40 feet to the Westerly
limit of said widening by Document No. R61-34112 ; thence
North 00-22 '-22" West along said Westerly limit of said
widening, a distance of 25 .0 feet to a point on the
South right-of-way line of said 22nd Street (before
widening) ; thence South 890-37 '-38" West along said
South right-of-way line of 22nd Street (before widen-
ing) , 401.48 feet to the place of beginning; thence
continuing South 890-37 '-38" West along said South
right-of-way line of 22nd Street, a distance of 514.22
feet; thence South 00-22 ' -22" East along a line drawn
perpendicular to the last described line, a distance
of 588. 08 feet to a point on the Southerly line of said
Lot 6; thence South 890-16 '-53" East along said Southerly
line of Lot 6, a distance of 514.31 feet; thence North
00-22 '-22" West along a line drawn perpendicular to the
South right-of-way line of said 22nd Street, a distance
597.88 feet to the place of beginning. "
Section 2 . This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect
from and after its passage, approval and publication as by statute
in such cases made and provided.
PASSED and APPROVED by the President and Board of Trustees of
the Village of Oakbrook this day of -ts 1968.
