AN ORDINANCE AMENDING AN ORDINANCE CREATING
A FIRE DEPARTMENT IN AND FOR THE VILLAGE OF
OAK BROOK, DU PAGE COUNTY, ILLINOIS, DESIGNATING
THE PERSONNEL THEREFOR;; AND ESTABLISHING RULES
AND REGULATIONS WITH RESPECT TO THE FIGHTING
OF FIRES AND PREVENTION THEREOF, AND DEFINING
THE DUTIES OF VARIOUS MEMBERS OF THE FIRE
DEPARTMENT, PASSED AND APPROVED BY THE
PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE VILLAGE
OF OAK BROOK ON THE 12TH DAY OF SEPTEMBER, 1967
BE IT ORDAINED by the President and Board of Trustees of the
Village of Oak Brook, DuPage County, Illinois, as follows :
Section 1. That Section 1 of an ordinance creating a fire
department in and for the Village of Oak Brook, DuPage County,
Illinois, designating the personnel therefor and establishing
rules and regulations with respect to the fighting of fires and
prevention thereof, and defining the duties of various members
of the fire department, passed and approved by the President and
Board of Trustees of the Village of Oak Brook on the 12th day of
September, 1967, be and the same is hereby amended, and as amended
shall read as follows:
"Section 1. Creation. There is hereby created
a fire department, an administrative department of
the Village of Oak Brook. This department shall con-
sist of a Fire Chief appointed by the President, with
the approval of the Board of Trustees, who shall be
the head of the department, and twelve (12) firemen
appointed by the Board of Fire and Police Commissioners
in accordance with the statutes of the State of Illinois
and the rules and regulations of such Commission. "
Section 2. That this ordinance shall be in full force and
effect from and after April 1, 1970.
PASSED and APPROVED by the President and Board of Trustees
of the Village of Oak Brook this / day of
