ORDINANCE OF ELECTION CANVASS

Whereas , upon notice duly published, as by statute in such
cases made and provided, the regular election for the Village of
Oak Brook was held on the 20th day of April , 1971; and
Whereas , there were to be elected at such election one (1)
Village President , one (1) Village Clerk and three (3) Village
Trustees, all for a four (4) year term; and
Whereas , the President and Board of Trustees of the Village
of Oak Brook have canvassed the results of said election;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the President and Board of
Trustees of the Village of Oak Brook DuPage County, Illinois:
Section 1 . That it is hereby found and determined that the
following named persons received the following number of voles for
the office of Village President:
Samuel E. Dean 602 votes
Edward Kelly O' Brien 494 votes
Margaret 0. Coffin 3 votes
Section 2. That it is hereby found and determined that the
following named person received the following number of votes for
the office of Village Clerk:
Lorraine E. Fricek 1 ,033 votes
Section 3. That it is hereby found and determined that the
following named persons received the following number of votes for
the office of Village Trustee:
Fred Hayes 663 votes
Joseph H. Rush 728 votes
John W. Baschen 490 votes
Carle Wunderlich 475 votes
William F. Iser 459 votes
George C. Mueller 184 votes
Miles Remes 2 votes
Section 4. That it is hereby found and determined that the
following named person, having received the highest number of
votes for the office of Village President of the Village of Oak
Brook has been elected as such Village President, to-wit :
Samuel E. Dean
Section 5. That it is hereby found and determined that the
following named person, having received the highest number of
votes for the office of Village Clerk of the Village of Oak
Brook has been elected as such Village Clerk, to-wit :
Lorraine E. Fricek
Section 6 . That it is hereby found and determined that the
following named persons , having received the highest number of
votes for the office of Village Trustee of the Village of Oak
Brook have been elected as such Village Trustees, to-wit:

Section 7. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect
from and after its passage and approval as by statute in such case
made and provided.

of Hinsdale, County of DuPage, State of Illinois, and circulated generally
in the Villages of Hinsdale, Clarendon Hills, Oak Brook, Willowbrook, Burr
Ridge, adjacent unincorporated and incorporated areas, and in DuPage and
Cook Counties, Illinois, and in other areas; that said THE OAK BROOK
DOINGS is a "newspaper" as defined by the Illinois Statutes made and pro-
vided for such situations, to wit; by Section 5 of "An Act to revise the law
in relation to notices", 1874, Feb. 13, R.S. 1874, p. 723, § 5, as amended 1959,
July 17, Laws 1959, p. 1494, § 1; and is also a "newspaper" as defined by
Section 1 of "An Act concerning the publication of legal notices", 1909, June

has been continuously published at regular intervals of at least once each
week with a minimum of 50 issues per year for over one year prior to the
first publication of the attached notice.
