AN ORDINANCE ANNEXING 3" 2`■1�
CERTAIN PROPERTY TO THE
VILLAGE OF OAK BROOK
Whereas , the Village of Oak Brook has been contacted by residents
of the area commonly known as Timber Trails; and
Whereas , said residents have requested the Village of Oak Brook
to initiate annexation proceedings to the Village of Oak Brook; and
Whereas , the property sought to be annexed is contiguous to the
Village of Oak Brook; and
Whereas , due notice has been served upon the Yorkfield Fire
Protection District of the Village ' s intent to commence annexation
proceedings in the Circuit Court of the Eighteenth Judicial Circuit.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the President and Board of
Trustees of the Village of Oak Brook, DuPage County , Illinois , as
follows :
Section 1. The Village of Oak Brook desires to annex the
property set forth in the attached legal description set forth in
Exhibit "A" and -made a part hereof.
Section 2 . That the Property to be annexed is to be annexed
to the Village of Oak Brook, an Illinois Municipal Corporation.
Section 3. The Village of Oak' Brook requests the Circuit Court
of the Eighteenth Judicial Circuit to conduct the aDpropriate hearing
required under the Statutes of the State of Illinois and to submit
the question of annexation to the electors of the unincorporated area
sought to be annexed.
Section 4. That the Court enter such Orders fixing the time for
hearing on this Ordinance as provided by the Statutes of the State of
Illinois .
Section 5. That the Village Clerk is hereby directed to give
notice of the annexation hearing as set by the Court as provided
by the Statutes of the State of Illinois.
Section 6 . That the Notice of the hearing shall contain the
information that the Ordinance has been filed with the Clerk of the
Circuit Court of the Eighteenth Judicial Circuit, describe- the
territory to be annexed, that the Village of Oak Brook is the
annexing municipality and set forth the date fixed by the Court for
hearing upon the Ordinance.
Section 7. That the notice shall be published in a newspaper
published within the Village of Oak Brook on at least one occasion
not more than 30 days nor less than 20 days prior to the date set for
hearing.
Section 8. The Clerk has further directed to retain on file a
copy of the notice within the Village of Oak Brook.

GEORGE HOWELL and MARIANNE LAKASIL, sworn in due
form of law, upon their several oaths , state as follows:
1 . George Howell is the President and Marianne
Lakasil is the Village Clerk of the Village of Oak Brook,
in the County of Du Page, and State of Illinois .
2 . Pursuant to an Ordinance passed by the Board
of Trustees of the Village of Oak Brook, the boundaries of
the Village were extended on the indicated date to include
the following:

A Certified copy of the above Ordinance and legal description
are hereto attached, marked "Exhibit A" , and by reference is
hereby expressly made a part of this Affidavit.
3 . After the enactment of the Ordinance providing
for the taking of the census, Joseph Cantore, John Clark,
Richard Finn, David Garver, John Kelly, Trann Kelly, Geno
Pesce, Carmelo Szybinski and Robert Wirth, citizens of the
Village were unanimously chosen by the President and Board of
Trustees to act as the census takers .
4 . Joseph Cantore, John Clark, Richard Finn, David
Garver, John Kelly, Trann Kelly, Geno Pesce, Carmela Szybinski
and Robert Wirth accepted the duties of census takers and did
take the census, and then, on the 17th day of October ,
1974 , filed with the Village Clerk a full and complete return

of the census with their Affidavit attached verifying the
return and stating that the same was true and correct.
5. By reason of the annexation of the above des-
cribed territory the population of the Village of Oak Brook
is increased 430 inhabitants .

Beginning at the northeast corner of Lot 16 in Merry Lane Subdivision,
the plat of which was recorded December 15 , 1964 as Document No.
0164-46791 in uPage County, Illinois , said corner lying on the east
line of Section 23; then proceeding westerly a distance of approxi -
mately 1801 .23 feet to the northwest corner of said subdivision;
then southerly a distance of approximately 652.7 feet along the west
line of said subdivision; then easterly a distance of 156. 1 feet;
then southerly a distance of 635.65 feet along the west boundry of
Lots I and 2 of C. 0. Owen & Company Assessment Plat, said point
being the southeast corner of Lot 10 Timber Trails Estates Annex
Subdivision ; then following the boundry of Timber Trails Estates
Subdivision southwesterly, westerly and northerly (along the center
line of Salt Creek) to a point where said line intersects the west
line of the northeast quarter of Section 23; then southerly along
said west line of the northeast quarter of Section 23 to a point which
is the intersection of the easterly extension of the north line of
16th Street with said line; then proceeding westerly along this line
to the southeast corner of Lot 6 in the Oak Brook Club Subdivision ;
then northerly along the east line of Lots 6 , 5, 4 and 3 (said line
being the west right-of-way line of Spring Road) to the northeast
