WHEREAS, the Village of Oak Brook has filed an application for the
rezoning of certain property from B-1 Local Shopping Center District to R-3
Single Family Detached Residence District; and
WHEREAS, the Village of Oak Brook has filed an additional application to
rezone certain property from B-1 Local Shopping Center District to a new zoning
classification known as C/R Conservation Recreation District; and
WHEREAS, as to this latter property the corporate authorities deem a
rezoning of said property to R-3 Single Family Residence to be more appropriate
than the aforesaid zoning to C/R Conservation Recreation District; and
WHEREAS, the Plan Commission on July 21, 1982 has forwarded its
recommendation concerning the rezoning of said parcels; and
WHEREAS, a public hearing on said applications has been held before the
Zoning Board of Appeals of the Village of Oak Brook pursuant to due and
appropriate legal notice; and
WHEREAS, the Zoning Board of Appeals has forwarded its recommendations to
the corporate authorities on the said applications.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF
THE VILLAGE OF OAK BROOK, DU PAGE AND COOK COUNTIES, ILLINOIS as follows:
Section 1: That the property herein described located at 1308 Oak Brook
Road, Oak llmok, Illinois be and is hereby rezoned from B-1 Local Shopping Center
District to R-3 Single Family Detached Residence District. Said property is
legally described as:
Lot 1 of the International Association of
Y's Men's Clubs Assessment Plat, an
assessment plat of part of Section 26,
Township 39 North, Range 11 East of the
Third Principal Meridian in DuPage County,
Illinois, according to the plat thereof

AN ORDINANCE PROVIDING FOR THE PARTIAL ABATEMENT OF THE 1 8
TAX LEVY ON THE tio 270 000 GENERAL OBLIGATION RECREATION BONDS OF
THE VILLAGE OF OAK BROOK ILLINOIS DATED SEPTEMBER 1 1
WHEREAS, the Village of Oak Prook, DuPage and Cook Counties, Illinois has
heretofore issued General. Obligation Recreation Bonds, dated September 1., 1977,
in the total amount of $10,270,000 pursuant to Ordinance 5-385, certified copies
of which ordinances were duly filed with the County Clerk-P of Cook County and
DuPage County, respectively, as required by law; and
WHEREAS, the Village of Oak Brook has allocated revenues for the purpose of
paying a portion cn the principal and interest on the bonds, aforesaid, that was
to be paid from the proceeds of the 1983 tax levy, said principal and interest
together totalling $966,900.00.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE
VILLAGE OF OAK BROOK, DU PAGE AND COOK COUNTIES, ILLINOIS as follows:
Section 1: That the tax levy of the Village of Oak 3rook, DuPage and Cook
Count es, nois, to be extended for the year 1983 for the purpose of paying
the principal and interest on the $10,270,r'O General Obligation Recreation
Bonds, dated September 1, 1977, be and the Lame is reduced and abated in the
amount of Three Hundred Thousand Dollars and No Cents ($300.,000..00), thus
reducing the said 1983 tax levy to $666,900.00.
Section 2: That the abatement herein m. : in Section 1 hereof shall be in
addit on to any ocher reductions in said levy legally required to be made
pursuant to the provisions of Chapter 85, paragraph 616 of the Illinois Revised
Statutes relative to the Personal Property Tax Replacement Fund.
Section : That a certified copy of this Ordinance be filed forthwith with
the County erk of DuPage County and with the County Clerk of Cook County.
Section 4: That this Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and
after t� passage and approval as provided by law.

AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCES 499,, AN ORDINANCE
APPROVING THE FINAL PRESERVATION PLAN FOR THE RESIDENTIAL
DEVELOPMENT OF THE ST. JOSEPH SEMINARY
WHEREAS, the President and Board of Trustees of the Village of Oak Brook
have heretofore passed Ordinance S-494 on August 24, 1982, which Ordinance
approved a special use for the residential development of the St. Joseph Seminary
and the proposed preservation plan therefor, subject to certain conditions; and
WHEREAS, the President and Board of Trustees of the Village of Oak Brook
have heretofore passed Ordinance S-499 on February 8, 1983, which Ordinance
approved the final preservation plan for the residential development of the St.
Joseph Seminary; and
WHEREAS, certain information contained in Section 1 of Ordinance S-499
relative to the proposed development has been modified, as further set forth in
this Ordinance; and
WHEREAS, the President and Board of Trustees have reviewed the proposed
final preservation plan as modified and find it to be in conformance with the
applicable provisions of said Zoning Ordinance and Ordinance S-494;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF
THE VILLAGE OF OAK BROOK, DU PAGE AND COOK COUNTIES, ILLINOIS, as follows:
Section 1: That Section 1 (B)(i) of said Ordinance S-499 be and is hereby
amended to ryas follows:
(A) Existing plans for basement, first, second and
third floors dated June 15, 1981, and proposed
basement plan dated June 15, 1981 last revised
April 13, 1983, as prepared by Milton N. Zia
Associates.
Section 2: That Section 1 (F) of said Ordinance S-499 be and is hereby
