r ORDINANCE ANNE)CrNG CERTAIN TERRITORY
TO THE VILLAGE OF OAKBROOK,
DU PAGE COUNTY, ILLINOIS
WHERFAS, there has been duly filed with the Clerk of the Village
of Oakbrook, Du Page County, Illinois, a petition, under oath, asking that
the following described territory be annexed to the Village of Oakbrook:
That part of the East half of Section 23 and the Southwest quarter
of Section 24, Township 39 North, Range 11, East of the Third
Principal Meridian, 'described as follows: Commencing at the
Southeast corner of the Northeast quarter of Section 23, for
a place of beginning; thence Northerly along the East line of
said Northeast quarter of Section 23, a distance of 964.81;
thence South 82 West, a distance of 1803.512 (said line also
being the Southerly line of Timber Trails Estates and Timber
Trails Estates Unit 2, as extended Easterly, situated in Section
C'Zi 23, Township 39 North, Range 11, East of the Third Principal
Meridian) to the Northeast corner of Lot 1 in Timber Trails
Estates Annex, situated in Section 23, Township 39 North,

easterly along the Easterly line of said Lot 1 and the Easterly
Wline of said Timber Trails Estates Annex, to the North line of
Lot 8, in Timber Trails Estates Annex; said North line also

89 043' East, a distance of 497.281 ; thence North 0017' West, a
distance of 551.121 to a point on the centerline of Harger Road,
as now platted and recorded; thence Northeasterly along said
centerline of Harger Road, a distance of 179.821, to a break
in the centerline of said Harger Road; thence continuing
Easterly along Maid centerline to apoint 266.04' East of
the West line of the Southwest quarter of Section 24, as
measured along the centerline of Harger Road; thence Northerly
t and parallel with the said blest line of the Southwest quarter
of Section 24, a distance of 578.15' to a point on the North
line of said Southwest quarter of Section 24; thence Westerly
along said North line of the Southwest quarter of Section 24,
a distance of 265.8' to the place of beginning, all in Du Page
County, Illinois,
and
WHEREAS, said petition is signed by the owners of record of all
of the real estate described therein, and all of the electors residing on
said territory; and
WHEREAS) the said territory is contiguous to the Village of
Oakbrook and is not within the corporate limits of any municipality; and
"YHEREAS, the Statutes of the State of Illinois provide that upon

the filing of such petition the corporate authorities of the Village of
Oakbrook may pass an ordinance annexing said territory to said village
if said ordinance is passed by a two-thirds vote of said corporate
autbor ities;
THERMORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the President and Board of Trustees
of the Village of Oakbrook, Du Page County, Illinois:
Section It That the following described property be and same is
hereby annexed to the Village of Oakbrook, Du Page County, Illinois, to-wit:
That part of the East half of Section 23 and the Southwest quarter
of Section 24, Township 39 North, Range 11, East of the Third

thence South 820 West, a distance of 1803.54' , (said line also
being the Southerly line of Timber Trails Estates and Timber
Trails Estates Unit 2, as extended Easterly, situated in Section
23, Township 39 North, Range 11, East of the Third Principal
Meridian) to the Northeast corner of Lot 1 in Timber Trails
Estates Annex, situated in Section 23, Township 39 North,
Range 11, East of the Third Principal Meridian; thence South-
easterly along the Easterly line of said Lot 1 and the Easterly
line of said Timber Trails Estates Annex, to the North line of
Lot 81 in Timber Trails Estates Annex; said North line also
being the South. line of the Northeast quarter of Section 23,
Township 39 North, Range 11; thence Easterly along said North
line of Lot 8, to the Northeast corner of said Lot 8; thence
Southerly along the East line of said Lot 8 and the Easterly
line -of said Timber Trails Estates Annex and said East line
extended Southerly to a point on the centerline of Harger Road;
thence South 0017" East a distance of 324.86' ; thence North
89013' East, a distance of 497.281 ; thence North 0017' West, a
distance of 551.12' to a point on the centerline of Harger Road,
as now platted and recorded; thence Northeasterly along said
centerline of Harger Road, a distance of 179.82", to a break
in the centerline of said Harger Road; thence continuing
Easterly along said centerline to a point 266.04' East of
the West line of the Southwest quarter of Section 24, as
measured along the centerline of Harger Road; thence Northerly
and parallel with the said West line of the Southwest quarter
of Section 24, a distance of 578.15' to a point on the North
line .of said Southwest quarter of Section 24; thence Westerly
along said North line of the Southwest quarter of Section 24,
a distance of 265.8' to the place of beginning, all in Du Page
County, Illinois.
Section 2: That a certified copy of this ordinance, together
with an accurate of the described territory, shall be filed by the
Village of Oakbrook with the Recorder of Du Page County, Illinois.
