S-28 - 06/13/1961 - ZONING - Ordinances AN ORDINANCE AMENDIN(. THE ZONING
ORDINANCE OF THE VILLAGE OF OAKBROOK,
ILLINOIS
WHEREAS, the Plan Commission of the Village of Oakbrook has
recommended a change in the definition of "Building" in said zoning
ordinance; and
*UMW, the Zoning Board of Appeals, after due notice, has
conducted a public hearing relative to said change and recommended that
said change be made; and
WWWAS, the President and Board of Trustees of the said Village
of .Oak rook do concur in said recommendation;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the President and Board of Trustees
of the Village of Oakbrook, Du Page County, Illinois:
Section lr That the paragraph defining "Building," being a portion
of Section III, Rules and Definitions, of the Oakbrook Zoning Ordinance,
passed and approved by the President and Board of Trustees of the Village
of Oakbrook, Illinois, on the 17th day of November, 1959, be and the same
is hereby amended, and as amended, shall read as follows:
"BUILDING. Any structure having a roof, supported by
columns or by walls and intended for the shelter,
housing, or enclosure of any person, animal or chattel.
When any portion thereof is completely separated from
every other portion by a party wall, then such portion
shall be deemed to be a separate building. Free-standing
towers and tanks shall not be deemed to be buildings."
Section 2: That this ordinance shall be in full force and effect
from and after its passage, approval and publication as by statute in such
cases made and provided.
Passed and approve d by the President and Board. of Trustees of the
Village of Oakbrook this > day of A. D. 1961.
