WHEREAS, pursuant to Resolutions R-441 and 8-442, the Villege President
and Board of Trustees approved the 1988 Employee Pay Plan and curtain
amendments thereto; and
WHEREAS,:it is deemed appropriate to amend the previously approved
Employee Pay Plan so as to reclassify toes_-sition of sports Cc:= Manager from
Grade 11 to Grade 22; and
WHEREAS, it is also deemed appropriate to amend the Salary Administration
Plan portion of the Employee Pay Plan so as to provide standards for
compensation for employees working out of classification.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF,TRUSTMS OF

RE: Amendments to Pay Plan for 1988
RECOMMMATIOPI: To Amend the Village Pay Plan to Reclassify the Sports Core
Manager from Grade 11 to Grade 12 and to Provide Standards
for Compensation for Employees Working Out of Classification.
I respectfully recommend that the Village Board approve the reclassification
of the Sports Core Mm&ger from Grade 11 to Grade 12 to more accurately place
him in a pay grade which is commensurate to his duties and responsibilities.
The Village has on occasion, the need to assign an employee to another grade
or posit.ion. for more than thirty (30) consecutive days. In those cases, said
employee should receive some additional compensation for working out of
classification. The staff and I have proposed that whenever said employee is
assigned to work. out of classification for 30 consecutive days or more and
works a majority of his time in said position, said employee should receive
105% of the employee's present salary, but such salary may not be greater than
any employee currently working in the position in question.

LABOR STANDARDS ACT POLICIES FOR THE VILLAGE OF OAK BROOK:
At the Regular Meeting of December 16, 1986, an approved list of
policies was approved in compliance with the Fair Lajor Standards Act
(FLSA). Recent personnel changes make it appropriate to include the
following personnel as exempt according to FLEA.
