WHEREAS, pursuant to X'�ticle II (Pay Plan) of the Personnel Rules and
Regulations of tile Village of Oak Brook (Appendix D to the Code of Ordinances)
the Village Manager is charged with developing a uniform and equitable pay
plan with the approval of the Village Board; and
WHEREAS, the President and Board of Trustees, at its regular meeting on
December 13, 1988, considered the 1969 Employee Pay Plan; and
WHERIRAS, after due consideration at its December 13, 1988 meeting, the
Village Board directed that the midpoint of Ranges 1-13 inclusive, be
increased by 4.2%; and
WHEREAS, the Village Manager has recommended the approval of the attached
Employee Pay Plan commencing January 1, 1989. A copy of this Pay Plan is
attached hereto, labelled Mthibit A and made a part hereof.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE PRESIDFAT AND BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF
,rjjE VILLIJGF. OF OAK BROOK, DU PAGE AND COOK COUNTIES, ILLINOIS as follows:
Section I.- That the provisions of the preamble hereinabove set forth are
hereby adopted as though fully set forth herein.
Section 2: This Village Board finds that the attached 1989 Employee Pay
Plan (Exhibit A) conforms with the guidelines set forth in the Salary
Administration Plan which was previously adopted by the Board on February 28,
1984, pursuant to Resolution No. R-362.
Section 3: That the attached Employee Pay Plan for 1989 (Exhibit A) is
hereby approved.

Attached is the resolution which incorporates the changer. to our Salary
Administration Plan as you approved at your Board meeting on December 13, I
1988.
The Salary Administration Plan will be modified by increasing the mid-point of
Ranges 1-13 by 4.2% effective January :1, 1989, with standards and incentives
for merit increases as follows:
Unsatisfactory: 0.0%
Not Meeting Standards: 2.0%
Improving: 4.2%
Satisfactory g.2%
Above Satisfactory: 10.2%
Exceeding Standards 11°2%

The merit increases will sallow our employees who receive a performance
evaluation of satisfactory to proceed through the range in approximately seven
(Z) yeaars® an employee rated as above zatisfactory would progress through the
range in aapprorz teiy six (6) years; and an employee rated at exceed-ing f
standards would progress to the top of the range In five (5)
years.
