WHEREAS, Y ag
the DuP a Count Forest Preserve District has proposed the
installation of a dewatering gate at the i llersburg Dam; and
NEiERM, said gate can have beneficial effects in minimizing flooding
from Salt Creek; and
MESAS, the village of Oak Brook has committed up to $10,000 to pay for
the ergineering of said project, Project No. +6-123-01; and
wHEREAS, the stornmater Coomittee of the Forest Preserve District has
estimated the total cost of the project to be $365.000; and
yBEREAS, the village of Oak Brook agrees to be responsible for the
operation of the manual gate so as to defray operational expenses of the
Forest Preserve District and to enter into an intergovernmental agreement with
the Forest Preserve District concerning the same;
NOM, yffmU FORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the intergovernmental Agreement j
attached hereto, labelled Exhibit A and hereby made a part hereof, is
approved.
