E. Authorization to Receive Quotes to Remove and Fill Underground Storage
inks:
As of December 22, 1988, the EPA required owners and operators of
underground storage tanks (UST's) containing petroleum products and/or
chemicals to comply with recently issued federal regulations. The
federal regulation which entails immediate action requires owners and
cperators to ensure leak detection methods, including periodic testing,
are being conducted and documented on all new and existing tanks
according to the installation of each tank. Appropriate leak detection
=ethods for our UST systems are currently being investigated.
therefore we need to remove and fill any non-operating tanks as soon as
possible to avoid the unnecessary testing costs for tanks we are not
presently using or plan to use in the future.
Trustee Rush moved, seconded by Trustee Maher...
To approve staff solicitation of price quotes for removal of two (2)

fill/abandon one (1) tank containing the same. Alternate plan to

MEMO TO: Bruce F. Kapff , Assistant to Village Manager -
FROM: Dale L. Durfey, Jr . , P.E.
SUBJECT: Vohra' s Assessment Plat
I have reviewed Vohra ' s Assessment Plat which I received on September 11 ,
1990 and offer the following comments :
1 . Many drafting and spelling corrections need to be made to the
plat .
2. The fifty (50 ' ) foot setback needs to be included.
3. The six (6 ' ) foot side yard and ten ( 10 ' ) foot rear yard public
utility easements need to be added.
4. The rear of this property lies within the Ginger Creek Flood
Plain. As such, a topography of that area needs to be submitted
and a flood plain easement granted on the plat to the Village of
Oak Brook.
5. Three (3) of the lot corners need to have their angles shown.
6. The two (2) front property corners need to be notated as having
iron pipes set .
The attached copy of this portion of the Village map depicts this site for
reference purposes .

Re: Vohra's Assessment Plat
Dear Mr. & Mrs. Vohra:
Based on a discussion of August 17, 1990, with Mr. Sarang, the following is
the current status on this subject:
1. 15 additional copies of the Assessment Plat will be forwarded to this
office by Monday, August 20.
2. The Affidavit contained in the attached pp. 872 through 876 of the Zoning
Ordinance will be executed by the property owner and returned to me
before the Assessment Plat is heard by the Village Board.
3. The request for a lot width variation is not required. I have enclosed
your application request with this letter. Your $300 refund of the
filing fee will be sent to you presently.
As I indicated to Mr. Sarang, at such time as I have the additional copies of
the Assessment Plat, this application will be created and distributed to
Village staff and placed on the earliest Village Board agenda following their
review of this subject. Based on current schedules, I would guess that this
subject would not be heard until the September 11 Village Board meeting.
Following that meeting, assuming Village approval of the plat, a resolution
formally approving the plat would be reviewed and approved by the Village
Board on September 25. Following that date and full execution of the plat by
all necessary signatories, the Village would then record the plat.
Should you have any questions concerning any of the above, please feel free to
call.
Sincerely,
Bruce F. Kapff
