WKEREAS, there are certain streets, roads and public ways
within the Village of Oakbrook which are under the jurisdiction of
and maintained by the Village of Oakbrook; and
W:1BRE;,S, it has been found and determined by the President
and board of Trustees of the Village of Oakbrook that certain streets
within the Village are particularly susceptible to damage the year
round because of their use by heavy vehicles and that certain other
:streets within the Village are susceptible to damage between the
15th day of February and the 15th day of May; and
W"I'° iZAS, in order to protect the public welfare, safety and
health it Is deemed necessary to establish a gross limit to the weight
of vehicles using such streets, roads and public ways as more parti-
cularly heroinaf'ter described;
NOW, TIiE1UXORE:, BE IT ORDAINED by the President and Board
of Trustees of the Village of Oakbrook:

Sect 3& Tixat from and after the effective date of this
ordinance and only between the 15th day of February sad the 15th day
of ray of each year there is hereby established a gross weight limit
of twenty thousand (20,000) pounds on all streets,` roads and public
ways within the Village of Uakbrook which are under the jurisdiction
of and maintained by the said Village of 0akbrook, and which are not
listed in Section 2 above.
SggtjQp 4. Ti-,at no parson, firm or corporation shall
operate, maintain, or permit to be operated or maintained, any vehicle
under his control upon,, over or across such streets, roads or public
ways upon which a limit has been established by this ordinance„ the
gross weight of which, including load, if any, and vehicle, shall
exceed twenty thousand (200000) pounds.
Sect,_ ir�on 5„ That the Village President of the Village of
Ockbrook is hereby authorized and directed to cause to be erected upon,
the entrance to all such streets, roads or public Kays an appropriate
sign stating the weight limits heroin established.
