AN ORDINANCE PROVIDING FOR THE ANNEUTION ffA M,'�- ��3�►C1►
OF CERTAIN TERRITORY TO THE VILLAGE OF
OAKBROOK, A MUNICIPAL CORPORATION

WHEREAS, it appears to the President and Board of Trustees
of the Village of Oakbrook, a municipal corporation, that hereto-
fore on, to-wit: The 10th day of May, 1962, there was filed in
the County Court of DuPage County, Illinois, a verified petition
requesting that the hereinafter described territory be annexed to
the Village of Oakbrook, Illinois; and
WHEREAS, it appears that the said pettition was signed by

a majority of the owners of record of Land in the within described
territory by the owners of record of more than fifty percent (507.')
of the land in said territory, and by a majority of the electors
residing in said territory; and
WHEREAS, it appears that the said territory is not within
the corporate limits of any other municipality and is contiguous

to the Village of Oakbrook, Illinois, and that the said petition
requested that the said territory be annexed to the Village of
iakibrook, and in all respects conformed to the provisions and re-
quirements of the Statutes of the State of Illinois in such cases
made and provided; and
WHEREAS, it further appears that after the filing of the

said petition as aforesaid, and pursuant to the order of the
county judge of DuPage County, due notice having been given *a by
statute required, a hearing was had thereon and such other proceed-
ings were had as in provided by low and that on the 4th day of
.Jana, 1962, an order was entered of record in than County Court
cif VuPa v County, Illinois, fixing the location and boundaria•
naid territory as described in said petition and ordering that OW
rlrjestion of annexation of the said territory, as hereintf r do6otr
to the Village of Oakbrook be submitted to the corporate authioftities

of the Village of Oakbrook for final action thereon; and
WbEREAS, it further appears that a certified copy of said
order was sent to the Village Clerk of the Village of Oakbrook,
Illinois, and is presently on file with said Village Clerk:
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the President and Board of
Trustees of the Village of Oakbrook, Dupage County, Illinois:
Section 1. That the territory described an follows, co-wit:
Being parts of Sections 33 and 34, Township 39 North, Range
11, East of the Third Principal 1 Meridian, c+..;•scribed as
follows:
Beginning at the Northwest corner of said Section 33, thence
East along the North line of said Sections 33 and 34 (in
31st Street) 6,614 feet more or less to the Northeast corner
of the West half of the Northwest quarter of said Section 34
(in Summit Avenue by County designation also known as Midwest
Road); thence South along the East line of the West half of
said Section 34 (in Summit Avenue) two thousand six hundred
forty (2,640) feet more or less to the South line of the
Northwest quarter of said Section 34 (in 35th Street);
thence West along the South line of the Northwest quarter
of said Section 34 (in 35th Street) 1 330.9 feet more or
less to the East line of said Section 33 (in Cass Avenue);
thence South along the East line of said Section 33, 495
feet (in Cass Avenue); thence West along a line parallel
with and 495 feet South of the North line of the southeast
quarter of said Section 33, 1,325 feet more or less to the
West line of the East half of the Southeast quarter of said
Section 33, thence South along the west line of the East half
of the Southeast quarter of said Section 33 to a int 660
feet more or less North of the South line of the 90outheast
quarter of said Section 33, thence West along a line parallel
with and 660 feet more or less North of the South line of the
Southeast quarter of said Section 33 to a Southwest 449.65 feet

Village of Oakbrook, a municipal corporation.
Section, 2, That a certified copy of this ordinance be
filed in the office of the County Clerk of DuPage County, Illinois.
Section 3, That this ordinance shall be in full force and
effect from and after its passage and approval in accordance with
the law; and that all ordinances or parts of ordinances conflicting
with the provisior% of this ordinance are hereby repealed.
