iMl AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE S-144 OF THE VILLAGE OF
OAK BROOK, DU PAGE COUNTY, ILLINOIS, BEING " AN ORDINANCE
CREATING A FIRE DEPARTMENT IN AND FOR THE VILLAGE OF OAK
BROOK, DU PAGE COUNTY, ILLINOIS, DESIGNATING THE PERSONNEL.
THEREFOR AND ESTABLISHING RULES AND REGULATIONS WITH RESPECT
TO THE FIGHTING OF FIRES AND PREVENTION THEREOF, AND DEFIN-
ING THE DUTIES OF VARIOUS MEMBERS OF THE FIRE DEPARTMENT`'
BE IT ORDAINED by the President and Board of Trustees of the
Village of Oak Brook, DuPage County, Illinois:
Section 1. That Section 1 of Ordinance No. S-144, being
"An or2linahce Creating A Fire Department In And For The Village
Of Oak Brook, DuPage County, Illinois, Designating The Personnel
Therefor And Establishing Rules And Regulations With Respect To
The Fighting Of Fires And Prevention Thereof, And Defining The
Duties Of Various Members Of The Fire Department", passed and
approved by the President and Board of Trustees of said Village on
the 26th day of September, 1967, be, and it is hereby, amended and j
as amended shall read as follows:
"Section 1. Creation. There is hereby created a
fire department, an awn strative department of the
Village of Oak Brook. This department shall consist
of a Fire Chief appointed by the President, with the
approval of the Board of Trustees, who shall be the head
of the department, three (3) lieutenants and sixteen (16)
firemen appointed by the Board of Fire and Police Com-
missioners in accordance with the statutes of the State
of Illinois and the rules and regulations of such Com-
mission."
Section 2. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect
from and a ter its passage and approval as by statute in such cases
made and provided.
PASSED and APPROVED by the President and Board of Trustees of
the Village of Oak Brook, DuPage County, Illinois, this
