AN ORDINANCE ANNEXING CERTAIN TEIIRITORY,
COMMONLY REFERRED TO AS "FOREST GLEN"
TO THE VILLAGE OF OAK BROOK, DU PAGE COUNTY, ILLINOIS
WHEREAS, a certain Annexation Agreement by and between the
Village of Oak Brook, a municipal corporation of DuPage County, Illinois;
Chicago Title and Trust Company, not individually but solely as Trustee under
Trust Agreement dated October 22, 1951, and known as Trust No. 35226;
Torode Associates, a Limited Partnership; Torode Development Corporation,
General Partner of Torode Associates and individually; and Shore Corporation,
as General Partner of Torode Associates and individually, was, pursuant to a
certain Ordinance numbered .3 �' and passed by the Corporate Authorities of
the Village of Oak Brook under dater 1975, entered into under
- date �;, � , . —' 1975, in accordance with the provisions of Division
15. 1 of Article 11 of the Illinois Municipal Code, as amended, the said
Annexation Agreement having reference to the annexation to and rezoning by

the Village of Oak Brook of the territory hereinafter described in accordance
with the terms, covenants, provisions, and conditions therein prescribed; and

WHEREAS, there has been filed with the Village Clerk of the Village
of Oak Brook a petition under oath in form and content as prescribed by the
provisions of Section 7-1-8 of Division I of Article 7 of the Illinois Municipal
Code, as amended, requesting that the hereinafter-described territory be
annexed to the Village of Oak Brook, the said territory being that territory
which is the subject matter of the aforesaid Annexation Agreement; and
WHEREAS, said petition has been executed by the represented owners
of record of the territory therein described; and
WHEREAS, there are no electors residing within the said territory;
and
WHEREAS, the said territory is contiguous to the Village of Oak Brook
and is not within the corporate limits of any other municipality; and
WHEREAS, the said territory is within the Yorkfield Fire Protection-
District and the Trustees of said District have been notified of the proposed
annexation of the territory hereinafter described by the Village of Oak Brook,
as provided under the provisions of Section 7-1-1 of Division 1 of Article 7
of the Illinois Municipal Code, as amended; and
WHEREAS, a copy of said notice has been recorded in the Office of
Recorder of Deeds of DuPage County, Illinois, and in the Office of Recorder
of Deeds of Cook County, Illinois; and
WHEREAS, the Statutues of the State of Illinois provide that upon the
filing of such a petition the Corporate Authorities of the Village of Oak Brook
may pass an ordinance annexing such territory to said Village; and
WIIEREAS, all petitions, documents, and other necessary- legal
requirements are in full compliance with the terms of said Annexation
Agreement and with the la�;-s of the State of Illinois, specifically Section
7-1-3 of Division. 1 of Article 7 of the Iltinois Municipal Code, as amended;
and
WHEREAS, the Corporate Authorities of the Village of Oal, Brook
deem the passage of this Ordinance and the annexation of said territory to
the Village of Oak Brook to be in the best interest and in furtherance of the
General. Welfare of the Village of Oak Brook,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE PRESIDENT AND
BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE VILLAGE OF OAK BROOK, DU PAGE
COUNTY, ILLINOIS, THAT:
SECTIONT 1: The provisions of the preamble hereinbefore set forth are
hereby restated herein as though herein fully set forth.
SECTION 2 The territory, the legal description of which is set forth in Exhibit
A hereto, which by this reference is incorporated herein, be and the same
hereby is annexed to the Village of Oak Brook, DuPage County, Illinois,

SECTION 3: The Village Clerk is hereby directed to certify copies of this
Ordinance and together with an accurate map or plat of the territory described
in Exhibit A hereto record the same with the Recorder of Deeds of DuPage
County, Illinois, and the Recorder of Deeds of Cook County, Illinois, and to
file the same with the County Clerk of DuPage County, Illinois, and the County
Clerk of Cook County, Illinois, as by Statute in such cases made and provided.
SECTION 4: All ordinances, rules, and regulations of the Village of Oak
Brook which are in conflict with the provisions of this Ordinance are hereby
repealed solely to the extent of the conflict and only as they apply to the territory
hereinbefore described in Section 2.
SECTION 5: If any section, subsection, sentence, clause, or phrase of this
Ordinance is for any reason held to be invalid, such determination shall not
affect the validity of any remaining portion of. this Ordinance.
SECTION 6: This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after
its passage, approval, and publication in pamphlet form, as provided by law.
