AN ORDINANCE GRANTING A SPECIAL USE PERMIT TO THE PROPERTY
COMMONLY KNOWN AS THE SOUTHEAST QUADRANT TO THE INTER-
SECTION OF MEYERS ROAD AND 31st STREET, OAK BROOK, ILLINOIS
WHEREAS, the owner of the below described property is the
Village of Oak Brook, an Illinois municipal corporation, which has
petitioned the Corporate Authorities of the Village of Oak Brook, Du Page
and Cook Counties, Illinois, for a Special Use Permit for said property;
and
WHEREAS, the owner proposes to construct a well, pumping
station and appurtenant structures on the subject property; and
WHEREAS, a Public Hearing has been held pursuant to the
Statutes of the State of Illinois and the Ordinances of the Village after
publication of the proper notice, said Public Hearing being before the
Zoning Board of Appeals of Oak Brook on November 3, 1976; and
WHEREAS, after consideration of the petition and evidence
presented at the Public Hearing, the Zoning Board of Appeals recom-
mended that the President and Board of Trustees of the Village of
Oak Brook grant the requested Special Use Permit; and
WHEREAS, the Plan Commission of the Village of Oak Brook
recommended that the President and Board of Trustees of the Village
of Oak Brook grant the requested Special Use Permit; and
WHEREAS, the President and Board of Trustees of the Village
of Oak Brook deem the passage of this Ordinance to be in the best interest
and in furtherance of the general welfare of the Village of Oak Brook.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the President and
Board of.Trustees of the Village of Oak Brook, DuPage and Cook Counties,
Illinois, that:
SECTION 1: The provisions of the preamble hereinbefore set forth
are hereby restated herein as though herein fully set forth.
SECTION 2: The Village of Oak Brook, an Illinois municipal corporation,
is hereby granted a Special Use Permit to construct and operate a well,
pumping station and appurtenant structures as authorized by Section
VII, D. 2. , as said Section refers to Section VII. C. 2. f. 7, of the
Zoning Ordinance of the Village of Oak Brook, Ordinance No. G-60, as
amended, on the subject property described in Section 3 hereof.
SECTION 3: The property to which the Special Use Permit granted
herein applies is legally described as follows

That part of the East half of the Northwest quarter
of Section 33, Township 39 North, Range 11, East
of the Third Principal Meridian, described as
follows: Beginning 733. 32 feet West of the North-
east corner of said East half of the Northwest quarter
of said Section; thence South 297 feet, more or less,
parallel with the center line of said Section 33, to the
North line of Mueller's Country Club Subdivision,
recorded June 11, 1968 as Document R6 8-23921,
extended East; thence West on said North line of
Mueller's Subdivision and its extension West, 586. 68
feet, more or less, to the center line of Meyers Road;
thence North along said center line 297 feet, more
or less, to the North line of said Northwest Quarter
of Section 33; thence East along said North line
586. 68 feet, more or less, to the place of beginning
(excepting therefrom the West 50 feet and the North
50 feet thereof dedicated for highway purposes by
Document R72-44779), in .DuPage County, Illinois
and is commonly known as the southeast quadrant to the intersection of
Meyers Road and 31st Street, Oak Brook, Illinois.
SECTION 4: All ordinances, rules and regulations of the Village of Oak
Brook which are in conflict with the provisions of this Ordinance are
hereby repealed to the extent of the conflict and only as they apply to
the property hereinbefore described.
SECTION 5: If any section, sub-section, sentence, clause, or phrase
of this Ordinance is for any reason held to be invalid, such determination
shall not affect the validity of any remaining portion of this Ordinance.
SECTION 6: This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and
after its passage and approval as by statute in such case made and
provided. This Ordinance shall be published in pamphlet form.

On August 16, 1976 the P1an Commision recommended approval .
On September 7, 197E the Zoning Board of Appeals recommended appraval for the
Special Use.
P�r. Glen �ansen, Assistant Vice President of First Federal of Chicago outlined
the proposed development of the First Federal of Chicago facility, with
construction of the drive-in facility to begin as soon as possible and the
main facility to be started prior to the expiration of their eight (8) year
lease in Commerce Plaza.

Based upon the recommendations of the Plan Gommission and Zoning Board of
Appeals Special Use be limited to six (6) years if they do not commence
canstruction on the main facility within that time, and that a cash contributzon
