AN ORDINANCE GRANTING A SPECIAL USE PERMIT UNDER ORDINANCE NO.
G-217, FLOOD PLAIN AND WETLAND REGULATIONS, FOR CONSTRUCTION OF
A PARKING AREA ON PROPERTY COMMONLY KNOWN AS 2001 MIDWEST
ROAD (MIDWEST OFFICE CENTER), OAK BROOK, ILLINOIS.
WHEREAS, the owner of the property hereinafter described has
petitioned the Corporate Authorities of the Village of Oak Brook, Du Page and
Cook Counties, Illinois, for a Special Use Permit under Section 2.04 of Ordinance
No. G-217 relating to flood plain and wetland regulations; and
WHEREAS, the Zoning Board of Appeals of the Village of Oak Brook has
held a public hearing pursuant to statutory notice on the proposed use and has
submitted its recommendations to the President and Board of Trustees; and
WHEREAS, the Plan Commission of the Village of Oak Brook has
submitted its report on the subject Petition to the President and Board of Trustees;
and
WHEREAS, the Corporate Authorities of the Village of Oak Brook deem
the passage of this Ordinance to be in the best interest and in furtherance of the
general welfare of the Village of Oak Brook.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the President and Board of
Trustees of the Village of Oak Brook, Du Page and Cook Counties, Illinois, that:
SECTION 1: The provisions of the preamble hereinabove set forth are hereby
restated herein as though herein fully set forth.
SECTION 2: Pursuant to Section 2.04_ of Ordinance No. G-217, a Special Use
Permit is hereby granted for the construction of a parking area on that part of the
following described premises which are situated within a flood plain, said premises
being commonly known as 2001 Midwest Road (Midwest Office Center), Oak Brook,
Illinois:
Lot 1 (Except the South 300 feet thereof) in Butler-Mohlman
Subdivision of that part of the East one-half of the Southwest
Quarter of Section 22, Township 39 North,.Range 11, East of the
Third Principal Meridian described by commencing at the South-
west corner of the East one-half of said Quarter; thence running
North on division line, 21.58 chains to the South line of Arthur
Robinson's cheese factory lot (formerly so called) for a place of
beginning; thence North 77°, East 5.97 chains more or less (deed)
394.22 feet, measured along said South line to a point 5.80 chains
East of said division line, said point being also on the West line of
Town Development Company's Elmhurst countryside, Unit No. 5,
situated in said Section 22, and recorded as Document No. 488359
in Du Page County, Unit No. 5, a distance of 1060.63 feet
measured to a point 250.00 feet North of the North right-of-way
line of 22nd Street, as now dedicated; thence Westerly along a line
parallel with said North right-of-way line of 22nd Street, a
distance of 387.62 feet to a point on the West line of said East
one-half of the Southwest Quarter of Section 22; thence Northerly
along said division line, a distance of 975.12 feet to the place of
-- beginning. Subject to that part occupied for highway purposes

SECTION 3: This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its
passage and approval as by Statute in such case made and provided. This Ordinance
shall be published in pamphlet form.
SECTION 4: All ordinances, rules, and regulations of the Village of Oak Brook
which are in conflict with the provisions of this Ordinance are hereby repealed to
the extent of the conflict.
SECTION 5 If any section, subsection, sentence, clause, or phrase of this
Ordinance is for any reason held to be invalid, such determination shall not affect
the validity of any remaining portion of this Ordinance.
