AN ORDINANCE REZONING THE TERRITORY IN THE VILLAGE OF OAK BROOK,
DU PAGE AND COOK COUNTIES, ILLINOIS,
COMMONLY KNOWN AS 711 JORIE BOULEVARD, OAK BROOK, ILLINOIS
WHEREAS, the owner of the territory hereinafter described has petitioned
the Corporate Authorities of the Village of Oak Brook for an Amendment to the Village
Zoning Map relating to the said territory from the R-1 Single Family Detached
Residence District to the ORA-1 Office/Research/Assembly District; and
WHEREAS, a public hearing to receive and consider testimony on said
petition was held, pursuant to statutory public notice, before the Zoning Board of
Appeals of the Village, the record of such hearing showing the compatibility of the
property, if rezoned as requested, with surrounding property and with the Village
-comprehensive Plan; and
WHEREAS, all appropriate recommendations have been submitted by the
Zoning Board of Appeals and the Plan Commission of the Village; and
WHEREAS, the Corporate Authorities of the Village deem the passage of
this Ordinance to be in the best interests and in furtherance of the public health, safety,
comfort, and the general welfare of the Village of Oak Brook and its citizens and
residents.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the President and Board of
Trustees of the Village of Oak Brook, Du Page and Cook Counties, Illinois, as
follows:
SECTION 1: The provisions of the preamble hereinabove set forth are hereby
restated herein as though herein fully set forth.
SECTION 2: The territory legally described in Section 3 hereof shall be and the
same is hereby rezoned and reclassified under the provisions of Ordinance No. G-60,
his amended, The Zoning Ordinance of the Village of Oak Brook, Illinois, of 1966, to
the ORA-1 Office/Research/Assembly District.
SECTION 3: The territory in question is legally described as follows:
That part of Sections 25 and 26, Township 39 North, Range 11 East
of the Third Principal Meridian, falling within the following
described tract of land:
Commencing at the northwest corner of said Section 25,
thence south 75 feet along the west line of said Section
25, thence N 89° 371 E a distance of 50 feet to the place
of beginning; thence S 00-07'-59" E a distance of 700. 34
feet; thence southwesterly along an arc of a circle, being
convex to the southeast having a radius of_ 574. 19 feet, the
chord thereof having a bearing of S 14'-031-12" W and a
length of 281. 35 feet, an arc-distance of 284. 24 feet; thence

S 77°-301-42 E a distance of 254. 41 feet; thence N 68°-11-47"
E a distance of 289. 97 feet; thence S 61'-53115" E a distance
of 174. 11 feet; thence N 3°-38131" E a distance of 523. 54 feet;
thence N 8°-091-30" E a distance of 490 feet more or less to
a point on the south line of the right-of-way of 22nd Street
(Cermak Road); thence S 89°-37' W along the south line of
said right-of-way a distance of 710 feet more or less to the
place of beginning, in Du Page County, Illinois, excepting
therefrom that portion of the parcel described above situated
to the east of the center thread of Salt Creek; the eastern
boundary line of the zoning district established by this Ordinance
is hereby expressly stated to be the center thread of Salt Creek.
SECTION 4: The Village Clerk is hereby authorized and directed to indicate the
Zoning change made by this Ordinance upon the Official Zoning Map of the Village and
all other pertinent Village records. --r
SECTION 5: This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage,
approval and publication as by statute in such cases made and provided. This Ordinance
shall be published in pamphlet form.
SECTION 6: All ordinances, rules, and regulations of the Village of Oak Brook which
are in conflict with the provisions of this Ordinance are hereby repealed to the extent
of the conflict, and only as they apply to the territory hereinbefore described.
SECTION 7: If any section, subsection, sentence, clause, or phrase of this Ordinance
is for any reason held to be invalid, such determination shall not affect the validity
of any remaining portion of this Ordinance.
