AN ORDINANCE PROVIDING FOR THE REGULAR MUNICIPAL
ELECTION IN AND FOR THE VILLAGE OF OAK BROOK,
DU PAGE AND COOK COUNTIES, ILLINOIS.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF TRUSTEES
OF THE VILLAGE OF OAK BROOK, DU PAGE AND COOK COUNTIES, ILLINOIS,
as follows :
Section 1 : There shall be a regular election of of-
ficers of the Village of Oak Brook, Illinois , on the 17th day of
April , 1979 .
Section 2 : At such election there shall be elected
a Village President , Village Clerk and three Trustees , each of which
officers is to serve a four-year term. The ballot to be used in
such election shall be in the form prescribed by statute ; and it
shall be the duty of the Village Clerk to assure the preparation
of a sufficient number of ballots for the election, to cause a
sample of such ballot to be published prior to the day of the
election in a newspaper published in, or of general circulation
within, the Village and to provide the necessary election supplies
for each voting precinct."
Section 3 : That for the purpose of said election
there shall be two election precincts with the boundaries and
polling places as set forth in Section 4 of this Ordinance .
Section 4 : That the Village Clerk of said Village
of Oak Brook be and is hereby authorized and directed to cause
notice of said election to be given by publishing notice thereof
once in a newspaper published in and having a general circulation
within said Village, the date of such publication and said notice
shall not be more than thirty (30) days not less than fifteen (15)
days prior to the date set for said election and said notice as
published shall be in substantially the following form:

PUBLIC NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that a regular municipal
election will be held in and for the Village of Oak Brook, Du Page
and Cook Counties , Illinois , on Tuesday the 17th day of April , 1979
for the purposes of electing the following officers of such Village :
a Village President, a Village Clerk and three Village Trustees ,
each of whom is to serve a term of four years , all as provided by
law.
For the purpose of said election, said Village shall
have two precincts consisting of approximately equal population,
the boundaries of which and the polling places designated for each
being as follows :

All that territory within the corporate limits of
the Village of Oak Brook lying West of the center line of Route
83.
Polling Place : Brook Forest Elementary School
60 Regent Drive
Oak Brook, _ Illinois
The polls at said election will be opened at 6 a.m.
and will be closed at 6 p.m. on the date of the election.
Only qualified and registered voters shall be per-
mitted to vote and voters must vote at the polling place desig-
nated for the election precinct within which they reside.

Section 5 That the following named persons , each
of whom it a citizen of the United States and is entitled to vote
at the next election; is of good repute and character; is able to
speak and write the English language ; is skilled in the four fun-
damental rules of arithmetic; is of good understanding and is ca-
pable ; is not a candidate for office at this election and is not
an elected committeeman; are hereby appointed Judges of Election
and Alternatives , respectively, for the April 17, 1979 municipal
election:

Section 6 : That said Jud es of Election shall be
paid the sumo t irty five dollars (35. 00) each for serving as
Judges of Election for said April 17 , 1979 regular municipal election.
Section 7 : The ballots for each election shall be
in the manner awn the form as prescribed by law. Said election
shall be held and conducted and the returns thereof duly canvassed.
Section 8 : This Ordinance shall be in full force and
effect from and after its passage and approval pursuant to law.
