AN ORDINANCE REZONING CERTAIN PARCELS TO THE R-3 ZONING DISTRICT
(3607, 3615 and 3619 York Road)
!� WHEREAS, on or about August 20, 1981 , Mr. Richard Morris as agent for
various property owners, filed an application with the Village Clerk of the
Village of Oak Brook requesting that the property commonly known as 3515, 3603,
3607, 3615 and 3619 York-Road, Oak Brook, Illinois, presently zoned R-1 , be
rezoned to R-3; and
WHEREAS, at its meeting of November 16 , 1981 , the Plan Commission
recommended to the Village Board that the requested rezoning be granted; and
WHEREAS, at its meeting of December 1 , 1981 , the Zoning Board of Appeals
recommended to the Village Board that the requested rezoning be denied; and
WHEREAS, at its meeting of January 6, 1982 the corporate authorities tabled
the rezoning application at the request of the applicant; and
WHEREAS, again at the request of the applicant, the corporate authorities on
February 8, 1983 tabled the rezoning request for an additional year; and
WHEREAS, on May 8, 1984 the applicant advised the President and Board of
Trustees that he was amending his application by deleting the property commonly
known as 3515 and 3603 York Road, Oak Brook, Illinois from his rezoning request;

WHEREAS, the amended rezoning request is in accordance with the Oak Brook
Comprehensive Plan dated May, 1978; and
WHEREAS, the amended rezoning request is in harmony with the character of
the neighborhood; and
WHEREAS, the President and Board of Trustees deem it in the best interest of
the Village of oak Brook that the below described parcels be rezoned to the R-3
Single-Family Detached Residence Zoning District.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE PRESIDENT ANDI BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE
VILLAGE. OF OAK BROOK, DU PAGE AND COOK COUNTIES, ILLINOIS as follows:
Section 1 : That the provisions of the preamble hereinabove set forth are
hereby adopted as though full set forth herein.
Section 2: That the parcel legally described as:
Lot One (1) , except the North seven hundred eighteen and eighty
seven hundredths (718.87) feet, measured on the East line
thereof, in Graue's Assessment Plat Number One (1) in the West
half of the South East quarter of Section Thirty Six (36) ,
Township Thirty Nine (39) North, Range Eleven (11) , East of the
Third Principal Meridian, in DuPage County, Illinois.

be and is hereby rezoned from R-1 Single-Family Detached Residence District to
R-3 Single-Family Detached Residence District.
Section 3: That the Village Clerk is hereby directed to amend the "Official
Map of Zoning Districts of the Village of Oak Brook" in accordance with the
provisions of Section 2 of this Ordinance.
Section 4: That all Ordinances, rules and regulations of the Village of Oak
Brook which are in conflict with the provisions of this Ordinance are hereby
repealed to the extent of such conflict and only as they apply to the specific
properties hereinabove described.
Section 5: That this Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and
after is passage and approval all as provided by law.
