WHEREAS, an application has been filed requesting rezoning of a certain
parcel of property from ORA-2 (Office Research Assembly) District to B-1 L-cal
Shopping Center District;
WHEREAS, the Zoning Board of Appeals on January 5, 1988 recommended denial
of the request for rezoning; and
WHEREAS, the corporate authorities of the village of Oak Brook have
considered the recommendations of the said Zoning Board of Appeals and the Oak
Brook Plan Commission concerning said rezoning, and the property was previously
rezoned from R-4 to ORA-2 pursuant to Ordinance S-570 passed and approved
October 22, 1985; and
WHEREAS the Villrge President and Board of Trustees deem it in the best
interest of the tillage cf Oak Brook that the subject property be rezoned from
ORA-2 to B-1 Local Shopping District as said zoning represents the most
appropriate zoning consistent with the highest and best use of the said
property.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF
THE VILLAGE OF OAR BROOK, DU PACE AND COOK, COUNTIES, ILLINOIS as follows:
Section 1: That the provisions of the preamble hereinabove set forth are
hereby adopted as though fully set forth herein.
Section 2: That the hereinafter described property is hereby rezoned from
ORA-2 (office Research Assembly) District to B-1 Local Shopping Center
District. Said property is located at the northwest Corner of 16th Street and
Route 83, and is legally described as follows:
Lot 1 of Vantage Properties Resubdivision recorded October 29, 1987
as Document No. R87-156766, being a resubdivision of Lots 13 through I+
17 and 19 through 28 and parts of Lot 18 in Block 1 in Town
Development Company's Elmhurst Countryside unit number one, being a,
subdivision of part of the northeast 1/4 of Section 22, Township 39
North, Range 11, East of the Third Principal Meridian, according to
the plat thereof recorded .tune 22, 1945 as Document No. 479816, in Du
Page County, Illinois.
The foregoing property is s described as follows:
Commencing at the Southeast c--rner of the Northeast 1/4 of Section
22, Township 39 North, Range 11, East of the Third Principal
Meridian; thence west along the south line of said Northeast 1/4 16.4
feet; thence North 20-08'-20" east along the west right of way of
Route 83 40.03 feet to a point on the North line of 16th Street as
recorded per Town Development Company's Elmhurst Countryside Unit No.
One per Document No. 479816; thence west along the North line of said
16th Street 41.50 feet to the point of beginning; thence r19_r_timi
west along the North line of said 16th Street 375.95 feet to the East
line of Monterey Avenue as recorded per said Town Development

Section 3: That the Village Clerk is hereby directed to amend the
official map of zoning districts of the Village of Oak Brook in accordance
with the provisions of Section 2 of this Ordinance.
Section 4: That all ordinances in conflict with the provisions of this
Ordinance are hereby repealed to the extent of such conflict, but only as they
apply to the specific property hereinabove described.
Section 5: That this Ordinance shell be in full force and effect from and
after passage and approval as provided by law.
