AN ORDINANCE REZONING CERTAIN PROPERTY AS
ORA-3, OFFICE RESEARCH ASSEMBLY DISTRICT
(SOUTHWEST CORNER OF KENSINGTON ROAD AND JORIE BOULEVARD)
WHEREAS, McDonald's Corporation is th4 owner of a certain 20-acre parcel
of property located at the southwest corner of Kensington Road and Jorie
Boulevard and has made application for the rezoning of said property from R-4,
Single-Family Detached Residence District to ORA-3, Office Research Assembly
District; and
WHEREAS, said property is immediately opposite other property along Jorie
Boulevard owned by the applicant presently zoned ORA-3; and
WHEREAS, the Plan Commission has reviewed the request at its September 18
and November 20, 1989 meetings and has recommended the approval of the
requested rezoning subject to certain conditions; and
WHEREAS, the Zoning Board of Appeals conducted a public hearing on the
request pursuant to due and appropriate legal notice at its December 5, 1989
meeting and has recommended approval of the proposed rezoning; and
WHEREAS, the corporate authorities concur in the recommendation of its
Zoning Board of Appeals; and
WHEREAS, the corporate authorities have considered the recommendation of
its Plan Commission and concur with its recommendation concerning rezoning,
but specifically do not concur with and reject the conditions suggested by the
Plan Commission relating to the rezoning of certain adjacent property to the
west of the subject property; and
WHEREAS, the corporate authorities deem the rezoning of said property from
R-4 to ORA-3 to be consistent with the highest and best use of the subject
property and compatible with the existing uses and zoning of nearby property;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF
THE VILLAGE OF OAK BROOK, DU PAGE AND COOK COUNTIES, ILLINOIS as follows:
Section 1: That the provisions of the preamble hereinabove set forth are
hereby adopted as though fully set forth herein.
Section 2: That the property described in Section 3 be and is hereby
rezoned from R-4, Single-Family Detached Residence District, to ORA-3, Office
Research Assembly District.
Section 3: That the provisions of this Ordinance are limited and
restricted to the property located at the southwest corner of Kensington Road
and Jorie Boulevard consisting of approximately 20 acres, which property is
legally described as follows:

That part of Lot 1 in Oak Brook investment Company Assessment
Plat No. 3, said Assessment Plat being part. of Section 26,
Township 39 North, Range 11, East of the Third Principal
Meridian, according to the plat thereof recorded July 23,
1964 as Document No. R64-26333, described as follows:
Beginning at a point on the intersection of the South
right-of-way line of Kensington Road as shown on Corporate
Plaza Subdivision Unit 2, recorded as Document No. R72-46895,
in DuPage County, Illinois, and the Westerly right-of-way
line of Jorie Boulevard as dedicated per Document No.
R73-30748 in DuPage County, Illinois; thence South 0°-6'-
20" East along said Westerly right-of-way of Jorie Boulevard,
a distance of 487.62 feet; thence South 00-9'-8" East along
said Westerly right-of-way line of Jorie Boulevard, a
distance of 314.14 feet; thence South 00-5'-40" East along
said Westerly right-of-way line of Jorie Boulevard, a
distance of 97.99 feet; thence North 551-8'-0" West, a
distance of 41.32 feet; thence North 35°-8'-0" West, a
distance of 80.0 feet; thence North 770-19'-0" West, a
distance of 70.0 feet; thence North 831-9'-0" West, a
distance of 73.0 feet; thence North 690-8'-0" West, a

The above described area is Lot 1 in a proposed subdivision
entitled "McDonald's Autumn Oaks Subdivision". Said proposed
Lot 1 is generally described as the property in the southwest
quadrant of the intersection of Jorie Boulevard and
Kensington Road in the Village of Oak Brook, DuPage County,
Illinois.
Section 4: That this Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from
and after passage and approval pursuant to law.
