AN ORDINANCE ANNEXING CERTAIN TERRITORY
PURSUANT TO SECTION 7-1-9
OF THE ILLINOIS MUNICIPAL CODE
WHEREAS, the Village of Oak Brook, the Village of Hinsdale and the
Forest Preserve District of DuPage County have heretofore entered into an
Agreement on May 2, 1989 to purchase certain property to be owned jointly by
the parties; and
WHEREAS, certain provisions of that Agreement provided that a portion of
the property to be purchased by the parties would be disconnected from the
Village of Hinsdale and annexed to the Village of Oak Brook; and
WHEREAS, the Village of Hinsdale, pursuant to Ordinance 091-36 has
disconnected the property in question from the Village of Hinsdale; and
WHEREAS, the Village of Oak Brook, pursuant to this Ordinance, wishes to
annex the property in furtherance of -its Agreement with the Village of
Hinsdale and the Forest Preserve District of DuPage County; and
WHEREAS, the property in question is contiguous to the Village of Oak
Brook; and
WHEREAS, none of the land proposed to be annexed is part of any fire
protection district or public library district; and
WHEREAS, none of the land hereby annexed includes any highway under the
jurisdiction of any township;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF
THE VILLAGE OF OAR BROOK, DU PAGE AND COOK COUNTIES, ILLINOIS as follows:
Section 1: That the following described territory is hereby annexed to
the Village of Oak Brook pursuant to the provisions of paragraph 7-1-9 of
Chapter 24 of the Illinois Revised Statutes:
That part of Lot 2 in Graue's Assessment Plat No. 1 located in the
Southeast Quarter of Section 36, Township 39 North, Range 11, East
of the Third Principal Meridian, according to the plat thereof
recorded February 11, 1944 as Document 458793, and described as
follows: commencing at the Northwest corner of said Lot 2; thence
southerly on the West line of Lot 2, 357.72 feet to an angle point
for a place of beginning, thence South on said West line of Lot 2,

180.00 feet to the centerline of Salt Creek; thence Southeasterly
roughly on the centerline of Salt Creek, a chord distance of
368.00 feet; thence North 180.00 feet to a point that is 368.00
feet Southeasterly from the place of beginning; thence
Northwesterly 368.00 feet to the place of beginning, in DuPage
County, Illinois. Permanent Index No. 06-36-404-39.
Section 2: That the Village Clerk is hereby authorized and directed to
record a certified copy of this ordinance together with an accurate map of the
annexed territory with the Recorder of Deeds of DuPage County, IL.
Section 3: That the Village Clerk is hereby authorized and directed to
file a copy of this Ordinance with the DuPage County Clerk and the DuPage
County Board of Election Commissioners and the post office branch serving the
above-described property.
Section 4: This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and
after its passage and approval as provided by law.
