AN ORDINANCE GRANTING A SPECIAL USE FOR A
GOVERNMENTAL SERVICE OFFICE
FOR CERTAIN PROPERTY IN THE
R-3 SINGLE-FAMILY DETACHED RESIDENCE DISTRICT
(1308 OAK BROOK ROAD)
WHEREAS, an application has been filed requesting a Special Use Permit
for a governmental service office as provided in Sections VII(E) (2) (a) and
VII(C) (2) (f) the Zoning Ordinance of the Village of Oak Brook; and
WHEREAS, a hearing on said application has been held by the Plan
Commission on July 15, 1991, and a report of the Plan Commission was submitted
to the Zoning Board of Appeals and to the Village President and Board of
Trustees; and
WHEREAS, a public hearing on said application was held by the Zoning
Board of Appeals on August 6, 1991, pursuant to due and appropriate legal
notice; and
WHEREAS, a recommendation was made by the Zoning Board of Appeals that
the requested Special Use Permit be granted; and
WHEREAS, the Village President and Board of Trustees deem the passage of
this Ordinance to be in the best interest and furtherance of the general
welfare of the Village of Oak Brook as set forth herein;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF
THE VILLAGE OF OAK BROOK, DU PAGE AND COOK COUNTIES, ILLINOIS as follows:
Section 1: That the provisions of the preamble hereinabove set forth
are hereby adopted as though fully set forth herein.
Section 2: That pursuant to the provisions of Section VII(E) (2) (a) and
VII(C) (2) (f) of the Zoning Ordinance of the Village of Oak Brook, a Special
Use is granted to property located at 1308 Oak Brook Road, Oak Brook, IL, for
use as a governmental service facility for office use only.
Section 3: That this Ordinance is limited and restricted to the
property commonly known as 1308 Oak Brook Road, Oak Brook, IL, which property
is legally described as follows:
Lot 1 of The International Association of Y's Men's Clubs
Assessment Plat recorded September 29, 1967 as Document R67-39100
in the Recorder's Office of DuPage County, IL, excluding that
portion described in the condemnation suit filed September 9, 1970
in the Circuit Court of DuPage County, as Case No. C-70-1459 by
the Department of Public Works and Building of the State of
Illinois along the northerly right-of-way of existing 31st Street
(Oak Brook Road) . Permanent Parcel No. 06-26-301-009.

Section 4: That this ordinance shall be in full force and effect from
and after passage and approval pursuant to law.
