AN NDINAIME GRANTING A-VMATTON p , B, 5.a. F R.)INAN'CE NTO—
G-60, THE ZONING ORDINANCE OF THE VILLAGE OF OAK BROOK, TO THE TERRITORY
COMMONLY KNOWN AS 800 JORIE BOULEVARD OAK BROOK ILLINOIS. _
WHEREAS, the territory described in Exhibit A hereto is located
within the Village of Oak Brook, DuPage and Cook Counties, Illinois; and
WHEREAS, said territory is within an ORA-1 District as established
by Ordinance No. G-60, as amended, the Zoning Ordinance of the Village
of Oak Brook; and
WHEREAS, the owner of said territory, Chicago Bridge & Iron Co.,
has petitioned for a variation to Section X, B, 5, a of the aforesaid
Ordinance No. G-60, as amended, pursuant to Section XIII, G of said Ordi-
nance; and
WHEREAS, the Zoning Board of Appeals of the Village of Oak Brook
held a public hearing on May 4, 1976, pursuant to the statutory public
notice, to bear testimony concerning the aforesaid petition; and
WHEREAS, the Zoning Board of Appeals has recommended that the
requested variation be granted based on its findings that the plight of the
owner is due to unique circumstances resulting from prior zoning changes
and that the subject variation will not alter the essential character of
the locality.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the President and Board of
Trustees of the Village of Oak Brook, DuPage and Cook Counties, Illinois,
that:
SECTION 1: The provisions of the preamble hereinbefore set forth
are hereby restated herein as though herein fully set forth.
SECTION 2: A variation from Ordinance No. G-60, Section X, B, 5, a
is hereby granted to the territory described in Exhibit A hereto and
commonly known as 800 Jorie Boulevard, Oak Brook, Illinois, to permit
construction of an addition to the East Building as delineated on the Site
Plan for 1 Lot prepared by H. James Hestrup and Associates and submitted
to the Village on April 2, 1976.
SECTION 3: The heliport represented by the petitioner as existing
on the subject territory is neither a permitted use nor an authorized
special use of the subject territory. The President and Board of Trustees
hereby deny any authorization for such a use of the subject territory.

SECTION 4: All ordinances, rules, and regulations of the Village
of Oak Brook wh cTi are in conflict with the provisions of this Ordinance
are hereby repealed to' the extent of the conflict and as they apply to
the property hereinbefore described.
SECTION 5: If any section, subsection, sentence, clause, or
phrase of this is Oriinance is for any reason held to be invalid, such
determination shall not a.'fect the validity of any remaining portion of
this Ordinance.
SECTION 6: This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from
and after t�s passage and approval as by statute in such case made and
provided.
