AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING REQUESTS FOR PROPOSALS FOR THE PURCHASE OF AN
ITEM OF PERSONAL PROPERTY OWNED BY
THE VILLAGE OF OAK BROOK
WHEREAS, in the opinion of the corporate authorities of the Village of
Oak Brook, it is no longer necessary or useful to or for the best interests of
the Village of Oak Brook to retain the following described personal property:
Tennis Air Supported Fabric Structure 202'Lxll8'Wx36'H
w/8028 Shelterite Double Membrane Fabric
Underground Mechanical Ducting
Three (3) Emergency Exits
One (1) Revolving Door Type Entrance
One (1) Field Joint
Yeadon Perimeter Clamp/Seal
[hereinafter "Fabric Dome"] located at the Sports Core, 700 Oak Brook Road,
now owned by it,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF
THE VILLAGE OF OAK BROOK, DU PAGE AND COOK COUNTIES, ILLINOIS as follows:
Section 1: Pursuant to Section 11-76-4 of the Illinois Municipal Code,
65 ILLS 5/11-76-4, the corporate authorities find that the Fabric Dome now
owned by the Village of Oak Brook is no longer necessary or useful to the
Village of Oak Brook and the best interest of the Village of Oak Brook will be
served by its sale.
Section 2: Pursuant to said Section 11-76-4, the Village Manager be and
he is hereby authorized and directed to seek proposals for the purchase of the
Fabric Dome. Any offer to purchase the Fabric Dome shall be brought to the
Village Board for its consideration.
Section 3: That this Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from
and after its passage and approval in the manner provided by law.
