Recommendation: That the Village President and Board of Trustees approve the
ordinance adopting the municipal budget for fiscal year 1999.
Attached is the ordinance adopting the I999 budget for your approval. The entire
ordinance includes a'revenue exhibit, an,expenditure exhibit, and a fund summary.
However, due to the length (over 100 pages), we have not included the expenditure
exhibit for each Board member. The format is the same as that found in the draft budget
dQCUme:it. The figures are as presented in the proposed budget document reviewed by the
Board at the budget workshop on December 5,:,1998.

President Bushy noted that the Village provides free police service to
the Oak Brook Park District, and if a time comes where our police
officers have difficulty completing all of their duties with this
additional burden, this service could be withdrawn by the Village.
The Park District, under Illinois State Statute, has the right to tax the
residents for their own police department.
Motion by Trustee McInerney, seconded by Trustee Kenny, to pass
Ordinance 98-BU-EX3-S-920, "Ordinance Adopting The Budget Of
The Village Of Oak Brook For 1999",as presented and waive the full
reading thereof, ROLL CALL VOTE:
Ayes: 5 - Trustees Caleel, Kenny, McInerney, Savino and
Shumate.
Nays: 0 - None.
Absent: 1 - Trustee:Bartecki. Motion carried.
