AN ORDINANCE RE-ADOPTING
THE MISSION,VISION,AND VALUE STATEMENTS
OF THE VILLAGE OF OAK BROOK
WHEREAS, on August 8, 1995, the President and Board of Trustees of the Village of Oak Brook
approved Ordinance 95-BD-BOT-EX2-S-826, believing that sound planning begins with an organization's
statement of its mission and its vision; and
WHEREAS, the Mission and Vision Statements were last re-adopted on July 8, 2003 with the
passage of Ordinance 2003-BD-BOT-EX2-S-1044; and
WHEREAS, after careful consideration, the President and Board of Trustees deem re-adoption of
the statement of mission, vision, with the addition of value statements to be in the best interests of the
Village.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF
THE VILLAGE OF OAK BROOK, DU PAGE AND COOK COUNTIES, ILLINOIS as follows:
Section 1: Recitals. The foregoing recitals are hereby incorporated into, and made a part
of, this Ordinance as the findings of the President and Board of Trustees of the Village of Oak Brook.
Section 2: Re-adoption of Statements. The Village Board shall, and does hereby, re-adopt
the Mission, Vision and Value Statements in the form attached to this Ordinance as Exhibit A.
Section 3: Effective Date. This Ordinance shall be in full force upon passage and approval
in the manner provided by law.
