VILLAM OF OAK BROOK Minutes "2" November 12, 1991 ... . .a W/ R. 54 It was a consensus of the Board that the Oak Brook Park District would have to comply with the Stormwater Ordinance if any major revisions were made to their proposed facility. Village Manager Berley requested Trustee Skinner to meet with the Building Commissioner and the Village Manager to discuss the issue of sunset provisions in compliance with the Ordinance. Trustee Payovich moved to pass Resolution No. R-544 as presented and waive the full reading thereof. Seconded by Trustee Skinner. DEPARTMENTAL REPORTS - SPECIALTY AREAS: Finance: Purchasing: and Hotel, coavention & Vis:itors•Committee: Trustee Bartecki. - The new Village Finance Officer, Maggie Powers, will officially begin December 2, 1991. The Village received a check for $2,252.00 for our Cable TV franchise fee. The Hotel Committee has initiated Oakbrook Center Christmas shopping ads for the public. Sports Core: Trustee Krafthefer - The Bath & Tennis Club has been closed and proposed improvements will be presented to the Board for their approval in the near future. The Bath & Tennis Committee will meet November 14 at 9:00 a.m. in the Sports Core Administration Building. The Golf Course is still open. The Golf Committee had six (6) candidates for three (3) positions on the Committee for their election. SO percent of the golf members voted for the candidates. The Golf Committee will meet December 4 at 7:30 p.m.. The Oak Brook Polo & Equestrian Club closed the polo fields and winterized the fields within the week of the last game of the season. . Trustee Krafthefer noted that the Sports Core staff is clearly struggling with the computerized financial system but are capable of tracking 90 percent of their activities. Finance Officer Powers has begun investigating this area, i and it may require improvements to the system. Staff has had difficulties obtaining financial information for the proposed Business. Plan. Environmental Concerns & Public Works: Trustee Payovich - December 2, 1991 is the last day for pick up of yard waste for Village residents. Personnel & Library: Trustee Shumate - Meetings were held with Administration and Library personnel to discuss personnel matters, especially the re-organization of the Administration area. The Library Commission met with President Bushy and Trustee Shumate to interview candidates for the Commission. Zonina & Planning: Trustee Skinner - The Zoning Board of Appeals will be at full staff with the new appointment. Eight to ten members of the Zoning Board of Appeals and Plan Commission are attending the Seminar of the DuPage Mayors & Managers Conference on Land Use and Planning on Saturday, November 16th. Public Safety: Trustee Winters - TV Channel 2, at 10 o'clock, will interview Police Officer John Mitchell, Coordinator of th±s DARE Program for the Brook Forest School.
