A RESOLUTION ESTABLISHING AN AD HOC COMMITTEE
FOR THE PURPOSE OF PLANNING AND COORDINATING
THE 2005 OAK BROOK AUTUMN FESTIVAL
WHEK-EAS, each year since 1996, the Village Board has established an ad hoc committee of Oak
Brook residents and corporate residents ( "Committee ") for the purpose of planning and coordinating the
Oak Brook Autumn Festival, and

WHEREAS, the most recently formed Committee has recommended that an autumn festival be
held in 2005, provided the event is fully funded through sponsorship donations, and
WHEREAS, the Village Board has concurred with the Committee's recommendation and has set
September 25, 2005 as the target date for the 2005 Oak Brook Autumn Festival, provided the event is fully
funded through sponsorship donations, and
WHEREAS, the Committee shall submit a comprehensive budget, which shall include iriformation
on adeq l ate funding for the event through sponsorship donations, and
WHEREAS, the Committee shall submit a program schedule to the Village Board by J

WHEREAS, the Board continues to support the vision for the Oak Brook Autumn
expressed in 1996, to wit

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF TRU
THE VILLAGE OF OAK BROOK, DU PAGE AND COOK COUNTIES, ILLINOIS as follows
Section 1 That there is hereby created an ad hoc committee for the purpose of planninc

Festival Committee" and shall consist of seven (7) Oak Brook residents The seven (7) member

(a) to solicitsponsorship donations to fully fund said event,

(b) to report regularly to the Village Board on its progress and the status of its f

(e) to encourage the widest possible participation in the Autumn Festival by residents, clubs,
organizations, institutions and businesses within the Village,
(,f) to evaluate the success of the Autumn Festival and to make recommendations
concerning future events, and
to form such subcommittees of its members as the Committee deems nece
desirable for the efficient and timely conduct of its business, and to assig

Section 4 That the funds that remain from the successful 2004 Autumn Fest event be designated
for the 2005 Autumn Fest event from which a smaller generator is to be purchased for activities that may
be used by the Sports Core and for expansion of activities for the event. I
Section 5 That any expenditures of funds in connection with the Autumn Festival shall
