R-766 - 02/27/2001 - DUPAGE MAYORS & MANAGERS CONF. - ResolutionsRESOLUTION 2001 -DUMM-LP-R- 766 A RESOLUTION ADOPTING THE 2001 LEGISLATIVE POSITION OF THE DU PAGE MAYORS AND MANAGERS CONFERENCE WHEREAS, the DuPage Mayors and Managers Conference (the Conference) is a consortium of 35 member municipalities in DuPage County which is dedicated to addressing municipal policy issues; and WHEREAS, as part of its mission, the conference proposes and reviews legislation in the Illinois General Assembly and recommends positions on these proposals to its member municipalities; and WHEREAS, the Village wishes to formally adopt the positions of the Conference on legislative proposals made during the Spring 2001 session of the Illinois General Assembly and as expressed by the Conference in its 2001 Legislative Action Program, except as otherwise determined by the Village, WHEREAS, the Village encourages its municipal employees, particularly its department heads, to become familiar with these positions. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE VILLAGE OF OAK BROOK, DU PAGE AND COOK COUNTIES, ILLINOIS as follows' Section 1: That the provisions of the preamble hereinabove set forth are hereby adopted as though fully set forth herein. Section 2. That the positions advanced by the DuPage Mayors and Managers Conference on legislative proposals in the Illinois General Assembly for the Spring 2001 Session and as expressed by the Conference in its 2001 Legislative Action Program are hereby adopted Section 3: That the Village Board may, at any time, upon the concurring vote of four trustees, move to take exception with any position of the Conference on any matter. Section 4• This resolution shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage and approval as provided by law. PASSED AND APPROVED this 27thday of February, 2001, by the President and Board of Trustees of the Village of Oak Brook, DuPage and Cook Counties, Illinois, according to a roll call vote as follows: Ayes l Trustees Butler, Caleel, Craig, Kenny, McInerney and Savino Nays None Absent.
