WHEREAS, SAMUEL E. DEAN has served the Village of Oak Brook successively
as Plan Commission Chairman from 1959 to 1967, and Village President since 1967, and,
WHEREAS, collectively. SAMUEL E. DEAN has dedicated fourteen years to,
for, and on behalf of the village and its residents, and,
WHEREAS during his many yearn of service to the village. SAMUEL E. DEAN
has given uaselfiahly of his time, effort and expertise to the and that a unique
community concept became a reality, and,

WHEREAS, SAMUEL E. DEAN, during his long career in public service, did
fight for the ideals and sacred tbinge of the village he served; be did revers and
obey the village laws and he did his best to incite a like respect aid reverence in
others; and, most assuredly, he did transmit this village greater. better . and wore
beautiful than it was transmitted to him, and,
WHEREAS, SAMUEL E. DEAN has tendered his resignation and announced his
retirement from public service effective March. 27th. 1973,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the President and Board of Trustees
of the Village of Oak Brook that they do hereby express their sincerest thanks,
gratitude and admiration to SAMUEL E. DEAN for his many, many contributions over

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that this resolution be presented to SAMUEL
