MARKS
The people of the Village of Oak Brook, on whose behalf
the President and Board of Trustees of the Village act, adopt
this resolution of appreciation.
First, the people of Oak Brook extend their heartfelt
thanks to all agencies of public safety which became involved in
the investigation of the Marks kidnaping case, and especially to
the Police Department of the Village of Oak Brook and to the
Federal Bureau of Investigation, for their prompt and effective
cooperation in the investigation and solution of the case and
their success in freeing the victim of the kidnaping and appre-
hending those persons accused of the crime, and the people of
Oak Brook congratulate all participating law enforcement agencies
for the success of their mission and extend to them a hearty
"Well done! ".
Secondly, the people of Oak Brook express their sincere
appreciation to all of the friends and neighbors of the Marks
family who assisted in giving information to the police and to
the special agents during the investigation of thc. crime. Special
thanks go to the alert young citizens who were eyewitnesses to the
kidnaping and who were able to give important and accurate infor-
mation to the investigators.
Finally, the people of Oak Brook express their gratitude
to all news media who cooperated fully with the request of the
Chief of Police that no news of the crime be published during the
critical period of the investigation and solution of the crime.
Adopted at the regular meeting of the President and Board
of Trustees of the Village of Oak Brook held on Tuesday, September
24, 1968.
