R-188 - 10/14/1975 - APPRECIATION - ResolutionsR- I a 0 RESOLUTION WHEREAS, JOHN W. BASCHEN has served the Village of Oak Brook with distinction, dedication and competence since 1967, and WHEREAS, during said period of service, JOHN W. BASCHEN has given unselfishly of his time and expertise both in the capacity of Oak Brook Plan Commission member from 1967 to 1971, and as a member of the Board of Trustees of the Village of Oak Brook from 1971 to 1975, and WHEREAS, during his years of leadership of the financial and capital activities the Village of Oak Brook was greatly strengthened by a short range cash management program and by a long range financial plan, and WHEREAS, through his diligent efforts and guidance, the Village of Oak Brook has successfully conducted a major capital building program from planning stages through completion of construction of Fire Station 2, the Public Works Building and the Village Commons, and in addition has initiated renovation of old village hall building into the Oak Brook Library, and WHEREAS, the President and Board of Trustees are of the opinion that a record of such faithful service should be made and spread upon the records of said Village; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the President and Board of Trustees of the Villagb of Oak Brook that the said JOHN W. BASCHEN be and he hereby is commended for his faithful and competent service to the Village of Oak Brook and the citizens thereof. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the President and the Board of Trustees of the Village of Oak Brook, for and on behalf of said Village and its citizens, do hereby extend their sincerest thanks and gratitude to the said JOHN W. BASCHEN for his services as aforedescribed. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a copy of these-resolutions be delivered to the said JOHN W. BASCHEN by the Clerk of the Village of Oak Brook and that these resolutions be spread upon the records of said Village.
