WHEREAS, ARTHUR P. SWAc:iOON, a citizen of the Village
of Oakbrook, PATROLMAN RICHARD NIELSEN, Elmhurst Police Depart-
ment, PATROLMAN WILLIAM KOIJ.ECK, Hinsdale Police Department,
and PA,"ROLMEN EDWARD F. GAIAZIK and BENJAMIN F. SAVAGLIO,
Oakbrook Police Department, were instrumental in the apprehension
of two burglary suspects in a private residence within the Village
of Oakbrook; and
WHEREAS, the actions of all parties concerned were and
are an outstanding example of accomplishment through cooperation
between municipal police departments and between police and the
general citizenry; and
WHEREAS, each of the parties acted an the highest CC
tradition of public service; and
WHEREAS, the President and Board of Trustees are of
the opinion that such service is deserving of special recognition;
NOW; THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the President and
Board of Trustees of the Village of Oakbrook that the Board does
hereby express its gratitude and the gratitude of the citizens of
the Village of Oakbrook to each of the parties above named.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that copies of this resolution
be sent to each of the parties and to the respective chiefs of
the three police departments above mentioned.
