MEMORANDUM
DATE: March 10, 1995
TO: Village President and Board of Trustees
SUBJECT: House Bill 2205
e
r
As the next step in his campaign to curb drunk driving, Secretary of State George Ryan
has caused to be introduced in the Illinois House HB 2205, which would lower the illegal
blood alcohol concentration in Illinois from 0.10 to 0.08. Secretary Ryan's letter to me
and his Legislative Position Paper on this subject are attached.
Secretary Ryan has requested that municipalities pass resolutions of support for HB
2205. Our Police Department supports such an action. We have prepared a suitable
resolution for consideration by the Board, should you wish to do so.
This matter appears on our agenda for March 14, 1995.
