the recommendation of President Bushy to appoint Christy Cushing to
fill the Resident At -Large vacancy on the 2001 Autumn Festival
Committee (replaces Susan Santefort who resigned). VOICE VOTE.

GRANTING A SPECIAL USE FOR OUTDOOR DINING
AREAS ADJACENT TO RESTAURANTS (MON AMI GABI,
260 OAKBROOK CENTER)
The Village Attorney has drafted Ordinance #2001- ZO -SU -S -991, "An
Ordinance Granting a Special Use for Outdoor Dining Areas Adjacent
to Restaurants (Mon Ami Gabi, 260 Oakbrook Center) ", which grants a
special use permit for the property located at 260 Oakbrook Center,
subject to the conditions set forth in Section 3 of the ordinance.
Motion by Trustee Savino, seconded by Trustee Caleel, to approve
Ordinance #2001- ZO -SU -S -991, "An Ordinance Granting a Special
Use for Outdoor Dining Areas Adjacent to Restaurants (Mon Ami
Gabi, 260 Oakbrook Center) ", as presented and waive the full reading
thereof.

The Village Board, at its meeting of May 8, 2001, approved the enclosed Resolution of
Appreciation for your dedication and service to the Village and its citizens as a member of the
Board of Trustees.
A Resolution plaque will be presented to you at our 2001 Recognition Dinner on Thursday,
October 11, 2001. I hope you will be able to attend the dinner so that we can extend our
gratitude and best wishes in person.
On behalf of the Board of Trustees and staff, I would like to again thank you for your service and

RESOLUTION
WHEREAS, GERALD O McINERNEY has faithfully and with dedication and distinction
served the Village of Oak Brook in his capacity as a member of the Board of Trustees from May, 1993
through April, 2001, and
WHEREAS, the said GERALD O. McINERNEY has also served the community in many
other ways including Traveling and AYSO Soccer Coach; Little League Assistant Coach and Volunteer;
Oak Brook Swim Team Volunteer; Champion of the Oak Brook Civic Association Naval Recruit
Thanksgiving Program; member of the Butler School District #53 P.T.A., the Oak Brook Park District
Swimming Pool Feasibility Committee, the Navy League of the United States, and the American

Chemical Society; and Chairman of the Christ Church of Oak Brook Unemployment Assistance Group,
and
WHEREAS, during the unselfish and dedicated rendering of said service, GERALD O.
McINERNEY has given unselfishly of his time, effort and expertise, contributing materially thereby to
the progress and well -being of the said Village and its citizens; and
WHEREAS, the President and Board of Trustees are of the opinion that a record of such faithful
service should be made and spread upon the records of said Village.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the President and Board of Trustees of the
Village of Oak Brook that the said GERALD O. McINERNEY be and he hereby is commended for his
faithful service to the Village of Oak Brook and the citizens thereof.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the President and Board of Trustees of the Village of Oak
Brook, for and on behalf of said Village and its citizens, do hereby extend their appreciation and
gratitude to the said GERALD O. McINERNEY for his civic service as aforedescribed.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a duly certified copy of this Resolution be delivered to the
said GERALD O. McINERNEY and that this Resolution be spread upon the official permanent records
of said Village.
ADOPTED AND APPROVED by the President and Board of Trustees of the Village of Oak
