Through our partnerships, participating members have signed on to provide services as sponsors or by contributing as an interested organization in promoting our goals and principles. Thanks to our collaborative efforts, we have expanded membership and launched "Ride DuPage ", which this past October reached a milestone of providing over 10,000 rides in a single month. We have applied for, and received, hundreds of thousands of dollars in grants, county budget support, and, more importantly, expanded transportation availability through additional sponsoring organizations. Our model of service, coordinated with Pace, is amodel that was adapted by the Chicago area paratransit system and has drawn interest beyond our Illinois borders. Please review the Memorandum knowing that while we strongly encourage the expansion of sponsors funding paratransit services, we are requesting that you support our principles and participate in meetings and committee activities. Please approve and return the revised Memorandum as soon as possible to the address below. If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to contact me or Mary Keating at DuPage County. We thank you and look forward to your participation.
