AN ORDINANCE AIMNDING AN ORDINANCE
REGULATING AND LICENSING SCAVENGERS,
PROVIDING A FEE FOR SUCH LICENSE) AND
REGULATING THE COLLECTION AND STORAGE
OF GARBAGE, RUBBISH AND REFUSE IN THE
VILLAGE OF OAKBROOIK, DU PAGE COMM.,
ILLINOIS, PASSED AND APPROVED THE
9th DAY OF AUGUST, A. D. 1960
BE IT ORDAINED by the President and Board of Trustees of the Village of
Oakbrook, Du Page County, Illinois:
Section 1. That Section 4 of an Ordinance Regulating and Licensing
Scavengers, Providing a Fee for such License, and Regulating the Collection
and Storage of Garbage, Rubbish and Refuse in the Village of Oakbrook, Du Page
County, Illinois, passed and approved the 9th day of August, A. D. 1960, be and
the same is hereby amended, and as amended, shall read as follows:
"Section 4. License Fee and Number of Licenses. The number of
licenses issued by the Village of Oakbrook shall be limited to two
in number except that such limitation may be amended from time to
time by the President and Board of Trustees.
"The fee for such license shall be Five Hundred and No/100ths
($500.00) Dollars per year and the license period shall be from July 1
of each year until June 30 of the following year. All fees shall be
aid to the Village Clerk
p g prior to the issuance of said license. The
fee for a license issued after July l of any given year shall be
prorated on a monthly basis for the number of months remaining in
the fiscal year as above established.
"Revocation of a license by action of the President and the Board
of Trustees shall not entitle the licensee to a refund of all or any
part of the license fee."
Section 2. This amending ordinance shall be in full force and effect
from and after its passage, approval and publication as is by statute in such

the above and foregoing ordinance, duly passed and approved by
the President and Board of Trustees of the Village of Oakbrook
(being a municipality with less than five hundred population in
which no newspaper is published) by posting a notice and copy of
said ordinance in three prominent places within said municipality,
to-wit:
