AN ORDINANCE AMENDING AN ORDINANCE ESTABLISHING
A POLICE RESERVE IN AND FOR THE VILLAGE OF
OAKBROOK, DU PAGE COUNTY, ILLINOIS, PASSED AND
APPROVER BY THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF 'TRUSTEES
ON THE 14TH DAY OF FEBRUARY, A. D. 1961,
AS AMENDED!
BE IT ORDAINED by the President and the Board of Trustees of
the Village of Oakbrook, DuPage County, Illinois, that Sections 2 ,
9 and 13 of an ordinance establishing a Police Reserve Division in
and for the -'Village of Oakbrook, DuPage County, Illinois, passed and
approved February 14, A. D. 1961, be and the same are hereby amended ,
and as amended shall read as follows%
"Section 2. Organization. The Police Reserve Division
shall consist of reserve patrolmen:only as of October 9, 1962.
This is not to affect the ranks of personnel in existence at
that time. The existence of vacancies does not require the
Village to fill them.
"Section 9. Training and Proficiency. Training programs
shall be at the discretion and under the jurisdiction of the
Chief of Police and members of the Reserve shall attain a
degree of proficiency that meets the approval of the Chief
of Police.
t1Section 13. Insurance. The Village shall provide
Workmen' s Compensation insurance for the reserves as is
provided for the Regular Department."
BE IT FURTHER ORDAINED that this ordinance shall be in full
force and effect from and after its passage and approval as to such
cases by statute made and provided.
Passed and approved by the President and Board of Trustees of
