AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE
NO. G-10 , BEING "AN ORDINANCE
REGULATING TRAFFIC AND VEHICLES IN
THE VILLAGE OF OAKBROOK," DU PAGE
COUNTY, ILLINOIS
WHEREAS, the problem of parking on private property has caused
innumerable problems to the Police and Fire Departments in keeping
the Lanes of traffic open and available to the public, and for
emergency vehicles ; and
WHEREAS, authority i-s granted to local municipal governments
with respect to streets and highways under their jurisdiction, to
regulate the standing or parking of vehicles ; and
WHEREAS, the Illinois Revised Statutes , Chapter 952j Section.
124, appears to grant to the owners of private property the right
to require regulations as to the use of the private property as to
them may seem proper;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the President and the Board
of Trustees of the Village of Oakbrook, DuPage County, Illinois :
Section 1. That Section. 43 of Article V "PARKING RULES" of
Ordinance No. G-10 of the Village of Oakbrook, DuPage County,
Illinois , designated as "An Ordinance Regulating Traffic and
Vehicles in the Village of Oakbrook, " be and the same is hereby
�.- amended by adding to said Section 43 ' the following sub-paragraph,
which shall be known and designated as "sub-paragraph 13 : "
1113. In. any private drive or driveway, or on any
private property without the express or implied consent of
the owner or person in lawful possession. of such driveway
or property. "
Section. 2. That this ordinance shall be in, full force and
effect from and after its passage , ' approval and publication. as by
statute in such cases made and provided.
