OLD BUSINESS
a. 2000 Marketing Campaign Update: Tricia Snyder -Lewis distributed a
report titled "Year 2000 in Summary" showing timelines, project
completions and job costs for each of the 2000 jobs. Also included in the
report were samples of the various marketing pieces and statistics
concerning responses obtained from each piece. Snyder -Lewis indicated
that a great deal of Agency time was spent in February due to the
coordination of the progressive dinner. She also indicated that
BVK/McDonald found itself in the position of having to chase down
approvals from all of the various hotels' Directors of Sales, and that this
was also reflected in Agency fees. The Committee discussed the
possibility of having the marketing subcommittee streamline coordination
with BVK/McDonald in order to avoid unnecessary fees. It was the
consensus of the Committee that Bob Nee of the Marriott Hotel would
chair the subcommittee and take much of the burden off of
BVK/McDonald. BVK/McDonald will take this into account when
preparing the campaign for 2001.
