ORDINANCE NO. G-264
AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 6-29 OF THE CODE OF ORDINANCES
OF THE VILLAGE OF OAK BROOK AND AMENDING THE AGREEMENT BETWEEN
THE VILLAGE ANDTHE OAK BROOK VOLUNTEER FIREMEN' S ASSOCIATION
WHEREAS, the Village of Oak Brook heretofore entered into
an Agreement with the Oak Brook Volunteer Firemen' s Association,
said Contract dated November 7 , 1962 ; and
WHEREAS, said Agreement provided that the Village answer
all fire calls within a specified territory and for a period of
twenty (20) years from the date of said Contract ; and
WHEREAS, a request has been made to extend the terms of
that Agreement an additional twenty (20) years to November 7 , 2002 ;
and
WHEREAS., it is in the best interest of the Village of
Oak Brook that said Agreement be extended;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD
OF TRUSTEES OF THE VILLAGE OF OAK BROOK, DU PAGE AND COOK COUNTIES,
ILLINOIS, as follows :
Section 1: That Section 13 of Ordinance S- 144 , heretofore
adopted Septem er 1 , 1967 and Section 6- 29 of the Code of Ordinances
of the Village of Oak Brook are hereby amended so as to extend the
Agreement between the Village and the Oak Brook Volunteer Firemen ' s
Association, dated November 7 , 1962 to November 7 , 2002 provided that
if any portion of the territory which is the subject of said Agreement,
shall within said period of time become part of or be annexed to any
City, Village or Fire Protection District , then in such event , such
territory shall be excluded from the territory otherwise to be served
pursuant to the provisions of said Agreement .
Section 2 : That the Village President and Village Clerk
are hereby aut orized to execute an amendment to the Agreement with
the Oak Brook, Volunteer Firemen' s Association dated November 7 , 1962
extending the terms of that Agreement to November 7 , 2002 in conform-
ance with the provisions of this Ordinance .
Section 3 : That this Ordinance shall be in full force and
effect from and after its passage and approval pursuant to law.

FIRST AMENDMENT TO AN AGREEMENT DATED .NOVEMBER 7 , 1962
BY AND BETWEEN THE OAK BROOK VOLUNTEER FIREMEN' S ASSOCIATION
AND THE VILLAGE OF OAK BROOK
WHEREAS, the Oak Brook Volunteer Firemen ' s Association and
the Village of Oak Brook have hereunto entered into an Agreement
dated November 7 , 1962 , which Agreement by its • terms expires on
. November 7 , 1982 ; and
WHEREAS, the parties thereto desire to extend the terms bf
said' Agreement ;
NOW, THEREFORE, it is mutually agreed as follows ;
1. That the Agreement between the Oak Brook Volunteer Fire
ment' s Association and the Village of Oak Brook dated November 7 , 1962
be and is hereby extended to a term ending November 7, 2002 , subject
to the exceptions and conditions contained in said November 7, 1962
Agreement .
2 . ' That the terms and provisions of said Agreement dated
November 7 , 1962 except as amended hereby shall remain in full force
and effect.
