AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE G-60,
PASSED AND APPROVED BY THE PRESIDENT
AND BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE VILLAGE OF
OAKBROOK, DU PAGE COUNTY, ILLINOIS, ON
THE 22nd DAY OF MARCH, 19663, KNOWN AS
"OAK BROOK ZONING ORDINANCE"
WHEREAS, the President and the Board of Trustees of the
Village of Oakbrook did on the 22nd day of March, 1966, adopt and
approve. Ordinance G-60, known and designated as "Oak Brook Zoning
Ordinance," which said ordinance having thereafter been published
in pamphlet form, is and has been in full force and effect from
and after the 8th day of July, 1966, as from time to time amended; and
WHEREAS, pursuant to the provisions thereof, certain
amendments to said ordinance, as more specifically hereinafter
set forth, were proposed by the President and Board of Trustees
and referred to the Plan Commission of said Village and the Zoning
Board of Appeals for consideration thereof ; and
WHEREAS, the Zoning Board of Appeals of the Village of
Oakbrook did, on the 6th day of June, 19673, conduct a public hear-
ing on said proposed amendment, notice of which said public hearing
was duly published in accordance with the Statutes of the State of
Illinois thereto pertaining and the provisions of said ordinance; and
WHEREAS,the said Zoning Board of Appeals of the Village of
Oakbrook, DuPage County, Illinois, has recommended that said amend-
ment be adopted and the President and Board of Trustees do concur
in said recommendation;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the President and the
Board of Irustees of the Village of Oakbrook as follows:
Section 1. That Ordinance G-603, passed and approved by
the President and Board of Trustees of the Village of Oakbrook on
the 22nd day of March, 19669 known and designated as "Oak Brook
Zoning Ordinance," be and the same is hereby amended by adding to
Section V GENERAL PROVISIONS the following paragraph, which will
be known and designated as paragraph "N. Flood Plain Area" :

'IN. Flood Plain Area
In the continuous area, and three feet beyond such
area adjacent to a stream, stream beds or other
natural drainage basin or channel, whose elevation
is equal to or lower than the flood-crest elevation,

no building or structure shall be erected
with the elevation of a habitable- floor, including a
basement lower than three feet above the flood-
crest elevation. The flood-crest elevation shall
be the flood levels as established by the Village
Engineer of Oak Brook on the effective: date of this
ordinance, or as may be subsequently established by
the Village Engineer."
Section 2. That this ordinance shall be in full force:
and effect from and after its passage, approval and publication as
by statute in such cases made and provided.
