TAN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. G-93, BEING
"THE TRAFFIC ORDINANCE OF THE VILLAGE OF OAK
BROOK, ILLINOIS , OF 1968"

BE IT ORDAINED by the President and Board of Trustees of the
Village of Oak Brook DuPage County, Illinois , that:
Section 1 . Ordinance G-58 of the Village of Oak Brook is
hereby rescinded and Section 3.37 of Ordinance No. G-93, being "The
Traffic: Ordinance of the Village of Oak Brook, Illinois, of 196811 ,
as amended, be, and hereby is , amended to read as follows:
113.37 LIMITED LOAD STREETS . It shall be unlawful to
operate any vehicle on any street in the Village when
the gross weight on the surface of the road through any
axle of such vehicle exceeds sixteen thousand pounds .
Between the 15th day of February and the 15th day of
May of each year there is hereby established a gross
vehicle weight limit of 16,000 pounds on any streets ,
roads and public ways within the Village when so posted
on the direction of the Village Engineer.
A maximum weight limit of 12 ,000 pounds per axle is
hereby established for all motor vehicles traveling on
i the streets listed in "Exhibit G" hereof, which is made
a part of this Ordinance. It shall be unlawful to
operate a vehicle in excess of this weight on these
streets , except for the purpose of making a local delivery
or pickup of individual pieces of merchandise at a piece
of property on the street 'concerned in which case the
vehicle may be driven on such street for not more than
the minimum distance necessary for that purpose. Local
delivery as used herein shall mean an occasional delivery
or pickup of individual pieces of merchandise only and
shall not include delivery or pickup of full truck loads
of material or merchandise. Where delivery or pickup
i of full loads of material or merchandise which would
impose a vehicle axle load in excess of 12 ,000 pounds
Es desired, a permit may be granted by the Village
ngineer designating the permitted load, route to be
used in going to' and from the area and any other special
precautions necessary to be followed to protect the
j paving structure of the streets being traversed.
j; Fees for such permits shall be as established by resolution
I� of the President and Board of Trustees of the Village of
1 Oak Brook.
The above listed definitions of local delivery or pickup
and permit procedures are also applicable to Section 3.36
"Trucks Prohibited on Certain Streets" .

Section 2. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect
±i from and after its passage, approval and publication as by statute
in such cases made and provided.
